AQEEDA. PART 3

BismiLlahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem. All prasie is due to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be on the
Messenger, peace be upon him, his household and all those who followed him until the last day.
Assalaamu alaikum warahmatuLlahi wabarakaatuh. As to what follows…
We thank Allah for blessing us to witness these beautiful days. We pray that these don’t pass except
that He has forgiven our sins and gifted us high stations in Jannah. This is a continuation of our series on
Aqeedat-ut-Tawheed, the Muslim creed, and thus far we have discussed the sub categories of Tawheed.
InshaAllah, we will continue today with the meanings of Allah’s names and attributes. The Prophet,
peace be upon him was reported to have said in an authentic narration that, “Allah has 99 names,
hundred less one. Whoever encompasses them shall enter paradise.”
“…Whoever encompasses them shall enter Jannah.” What then entails encompassing the names of
Allah? This is on several levels. 1. That one strives to know the names of Allah. Is al-Jabbaar a name of
Allah? What about as-Samad? 2. One learns the meanings of the names of Allah. What does Raheem
mean? What does as-Samad mean? 3. One memorizes the names of Allah; and then lives his/her life
according to these names.
Anyone who does this will by the will of Allah attain Jannah. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says what is translated to
mean; “And to Allah belongs the most beautiful names, so then call Him by them…” This verse
establishes another fundamental principle in our faith, that He has names and beyond. That we call
upon Him in our supplications to Him with those beautiful names. So to the one who has a retricted
privision should call upon Ar-Razzaaq; the one who feels she has been oppressed should call upon Al-
Azeez; the one who needs mercy in their life should call upon the Bestower of mercy, Ar-Raheem; the
one feels let down and doesn’t know who or what to turn to should call upon the one Who doen’t have
the need of anything, but everything needs Him, As-Samad.
This branch of knowledge of the names and attributes of Allah is one of the basic fundamentals of of
creed that encopasses all of the other aspects of our faith, yet has been given very little attention. It is
due to our misunderstanding of Grandeur of Allah that any deviation from the true path of monotheism
will occur. To the one who engages her/himself in grave or ‘saint’ worship, it is due to their lack of
understanding that Allah is As-Samee’, the all hearing; He hears our most silent calls and that we don’t
need any intermediaries between us. To the faithful Muslim who has refused to go to the magician or
soothsayer, it is due to our understanding that Allah is Al-Hakeem; that anything that happens to us is
for a greater good, given that “His infinite mercy encompasses all things”.
Oftentimes due to our personal human flaws, we are unable to fully grasp Who Allah is. We are for
instance not able to reconcile between Allah’s infinite mercy and His severe punishment. How can an All
Merciful God punish someone eternally in hell?
Allah on the Day of Judgement will show us more mercy than our own mothers, if they were given the
oppportunity to judge us. With Allah, these attributes are not mutually exclusive of each other. In our
human terms, a merciful person is seen to be weak; a person with might and strength becomes a tyrant;
one forgives because he has no chance of revenge…
With Allah, He is merciful, despite His might; even in His punishment, He is the most merciful. His might
is executed with absolute perfection in knowledge and wisdom. He forgives, although He has the might

and power to punish. He is As-Samad, the one whose perfection is not based on anyone or anything.
Even if Allah had created nothing, these attributes would perfectly fit Him.
May Allah grant us perfect understanding of Who He is. Insha Allah w7question “Why does God need us
to worship Him?” as posed by atheists. Eid Mubaarak. Wassalaamu alaikum warahmatuLlahi
wabarakaatuhu.

JINN POSSESSION AND THEIR CAUSES

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, ever Mercifull.
All perfect praise are due to Allah, we worship Him and seek His help. We seek forgiveness from Him.
And we also seek refuge in Him from evil our selves and the word of our bad deeds. Whosoever Allah
has guided can never be misled and whoever He (Allah) has denied guidance can never attain any guide.
I bear testimony that He is the one, worthy of worship and non else. And that prophet Muhammad
(s.a.w) is to Him a slave and a messenger. Upon him we invoke Allah's blessings and mercy, upon his
kinship, his companions and upon all those who follow in righteousness till the end of time.
As for what follows, the best of speech is the book of Allah. The best of guidance is the guidance of
prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). The evil of matters are the newly invented ones. Anything newly invented
in the deen of Allah is an innovation. And every innovation in the deen of Allah is leading path to
misguidance. And every misguidance leads to hell fire.

Jinn Possession and Their Causes
Before I proceed to discuss the nature of jinn possession in humans, we need to understand that it is not
easy for a jinn to harm a human physically or to appear to him, because in that instance the jinn is
exposing himself to punishment. To take a different form of animals, may also cause the jinn to be
treated like those animals.
Jinn possession is a reality and the evidence is from both the Qur'an and the Sunnah of our beloved
Prophet Muhammad ( s.a.a w). Allah the Almighty mentioned in the holy Qur'an,: ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ لَا يَقُومُونَ
إِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ ٱلَّذِى يَتَخَبَّطُهُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ مِنَ ٱلْمَسِّ
Those who devour usury will not stand except as stand one whom the Evil one by his touch Hath driven
to madness. (Al- Baqara : 275). Scholars of tafseer, especially Ibn Katheer is of the view that the word
“mass" used in the verse is an indication of one being possessed by madness as a result of being touched
by the jinn. Allah knows best.
How do jinn enter humans?
It is an established fact that the jinns are from flames, and flames are like air. There are paths in the
body through which these jinns may pass to any part of their choice, hence they first build their place in
the brain and afterwards spread whatever sickness or attacks they want over the body or the part they
want to affect. This is just one of the many views of scholars. Allah knows best.
Jinn possession can be grouped into four:
1. مس كلي (whole body possession)
2. مس جزءي( part of the body, such as the limbs, eyes, head , brain etc)
3.مس دائم ( In this case the jinn possesses the body for a very long with/without the awareness of the
person)
4. مس طائف( In this situation the jinn is possessing group of humans or group of the jinns may be
possessing a single person). And this can be treated as mass possession. Allah the Almighty mentioned
in the Qur'an: (إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوۡا۟ إِذَا مَسَّهُمۡ طَـٰۤىِٕفࣱ مِّنَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ تَذَكَّرُوا۟ فَإِذَا هُم مُّبۡصِرُونَ)

[Al-A'raf : 201].Those who fear Allah, when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them, bring Allah to
remembrance, when lo! they see (aright).

Reasons for Jinns over powering and possessing Humans
Shykh Al- Islam Ibn Taymiyah mentioned in Risaalat al- jinn (p: 27) regarding the possible causes of jinn
possession in Humans. And he said :
1) Jinn possession in humans can manifest in the form of lust, intense desires and love. Jinn may possess
a person out of admiration from the jinn to the human or from the human to the jinn. Jinn may fall in
love with the human and possess him just as it happens among or between humans. This indeed is an
act of disobedience to rule of Allah.
2) In other instances the jinn may possess the human because of zulm ( transgression). Possessing him
for no reason but just to punish the human. This may be due to hatred and jealous. And this sometimes
occur especially in four situations
a) During intense anger
b) during intense fear/ sorrow to an extent the person forget of Allah, and lose hope from the protection
of Allah.
c) deeper engagement in lustful acts, alcoholism, gambling, fornication, wasting time in useless acts etc.
These acts make the human to become less concious with Allah, through which the jinn may possess
him.
d) Complete negligence to the worship and service of Allah.
3) Human wronging the jinn unknowingly. A human attack the jinn without knowing, by falling on him,
throwing a stone at him, urinating on him, or pouring hot water on him, especially in toilets and
bathroom and even on the open spaces. In these instances the jinn may want to revenge.
4) Witches/ Wizards especially through the empowerment of sihr ( magic). Witches do manipulate the
jinns especially the evil ones to attack other humans out hatred and mischief. The witches would take
them as their helpers and ally. Allah mentioned this in the holy Qur'an:وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ
True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they
increased them in folly.
The Jinns are then manipulated using magic to cause more harm and destruction among the human
kind.
Symptoms of Jinn possession
There are many sypmtoms of jinn possession, but scholars have grouped them into two: symptoms that
occur when one is awake and symptoms that show when the person is asleep. Let's list them!

When Awake:
1- Turning away from acts of worship and acts of obedience to Allah including remembrance of Allah.
2- Erratic behavior in one's words, deeds and movements.
3- Paralysis of limbs with no medical cause.
4- Seizures with no medical cause.
5- Being quick to get angry or weep and sometimes yelling for no apparent cause.
6- Sitting in the toilet or bathroom for a long time, and talking to oneself.
7- Constant headache on part of the head or even both parts of the head with no medical cause which is
not cured or eased by painkillers.
8- Irregular menstruation in women for no apparent cause.
9- Impotence and barringness with both spouse being able or capable.
10- Frequent isolation from people.

There are any others but the above are just few.
During Sleeping:
1- Frightening nightmares, which include seeing of various kinds of creatures such as ghosts or
apparitions, seeing oneself falling from a high place, seeing people in strange forms and snakes. A man
may see a woman who wants to have intercourse with her and vice versa constantly in his dreams or
may see someone threatening him.
2- Insomnia, anxiety and fear upon waking
3- Talking loudly in one's sleep, or moaning, groaning and crying. And many others. Allah knows best.

THE JINKIND

In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful.
The topic for discussion today is the JINKIND.
Before we proceed to do anything, we first of all need to understand the meaning of the word جن( JINN).
This word is an Arabic word, and refers to that which is covered, concealed or hidden. Reference can be
made to various verses of the Qur'an in this regard. Allah the Almighty says in the Qur'an:
(فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَیۡهِ ٱلَّیۡلُ رَءَا كَوۡكَبࣰاۖ قَالَ هَـٰذَا رَبِّیۖ فَلَمَّاۤ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَاۤ أُحِبُّ ٱلۡـَٔافِلِینَ)
(Surat Al-An'am 76). When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But
when it set, He said: "I love not those that set." Jinns are covered by the sight of humans hence their
name.
Hence Allah the Almighty says: إِنَّهُۥ يَرَىٰكُمْ هُوَ وَقَبِيلُهُۥ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا تَرَوْنَهُمْ. " He sees you, he and his tribe from
whence you see him not".
It should be noted that even though we don't see jinns does not mean they do not exist. The believe in
their existence is part of our faith because it is part of the believe if علم الغيب( knowledge of the hidden).
The Qur'an and Sunnah are replete with of evidence of the existence of jinns.
Origin of the jinn
Allah the Almighty created the jinns from smokeless fire. Allah mentioned of this this in the Qur'an: (وَخَلَقَ
[Surat Ar-Rahman 15]. 5. And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke. Jinns existed long before the
existence of man, Allah says in the holy Qur'an: (وَٱلۡجَاۤنَّ خَلَقۡنَـٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ)
[Surat Al-Hijr 27]. And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. In a
hadith recorded by Imam Muslim on the strength of Aisha may Allah be pleased with her, the Prophet (
peace be upon him) said: خلق الملائكة من نور وخلق الجان من مارج من نار وخلق آدم مما وصف لكم. " The angels were
created from light, the jinn we're created from smokeless flame of fire and Adam was created from from
what has been described to you [by the Qur'an].( Muslim 18/123, sharh Nawawi).
Evidence of The Existence of Jinn.
In The Light of the Qur'an:

The Qur'an categorically mentioned about the existence of the jinn in many places of different chapters,
few of which shall be mentioned here.
1) Allah mentioned of the story of the jinn and how they received the message of Prophet Muhammad
(s.a.w) and He the Almighty says:
(وَإِذۡ صَرَفۡنَاۤ إِلَیۡكَ نَفَرࣰا مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ یَسۡتَمِعُونَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوۤا۟ أَنصِتُوا۟ۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِیَ وَلَّوۡا۟ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِم مُّنذِرِینَ)
[Surat Al-Ahqaf 29]. Behold, We turned towards thee a company of Jinn (quietly) listening to the Qur'an:
when they stood in the presence thereof, they said, "Listen in silence!" When the (reading) was finished,
they returned to their people, to warn (them of their sins).

2) Allah the Almighty called by the name Jinn in the holy Qur'an: يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ
عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِى وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا, . "O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you messengers
from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of
yours?" ( An-am: 130).
3) Allah the Almighty says in the Qur'an regarding their interaction and relationship with men, and He
"True, there were persons among mankind who
took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly". ( Al- Jinn: 6).
4) It is sufficient and worth to mention that Allah has dedicated a whole chapter of the holy Qur'an to
jinns which is known the chapter of Jinns.

In The Light of Hadith/ Sunnah
1) Imam Muslim narrated is his saheeh, on the authority Ibn Mas'ood, may Allah be pleased with him
said: We were in the company of the messenger of Allah ( may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) one night, then we noticed he was missing. We searched for him in the valleys and mountain
passes, then we thought that had either been taken away( by the jinn) or killed secretly. We spent the
worst night that any people have ever spent, then when the morning was due we saw him coming from
the direction of Hira'. We said to him, O messenger of Allah, we missed you and looked for you, but we
could not find you,and we we spent the worst night that any people have spent. He said " A petitioner of
the Jinn came to me and I went with him and recited the Qur'an to them". The he went with us and
showed us their tracks and traces of their fires. The jinn asked of their provisions and he said: لكم كل عدم
" Yours is every every bone over which the
name of Allah has been mentioned, which will fall into your hands covered with flesh, and every piece of
dung is food for your animals". The messenger of Allah the said : Do not use these two things for
cleaning yourselves after relieving, for they are the food of your brothers.( Muslim: 4/170, sharh
Nawawi).
Names Of Jinns
Scholars of the Arabic linguistics and grammar mentioned as relaid by the famous scholar Ibn Abdul
Barr, the Jinns are of different types base on their task and their nature. Let's consider the following:
1) The جن (Jinn) this name given to them when referring to jinns themselves and nothing else.

2) عمار( The 'ammaar/ 'ummaar) . This name is given to the Jinns that live among mankind.
3) أرواح ( Arwaah) this name is given to the jinn that possess children/ young ones.
4) شياطين( Shayaateen) the evil jinns that antagonize humans.
5)عفاريت( Afareet). The dangerous Jinns that are even more harmful and are very strong.
Other names of Jinns are given by some scholars but are in some way may be forming part of
aforementioned. Names such as Maarid, Iblees, etc.
Types of Jinns
Jinns are into three types as captured in the Hadith of the messenger of Allah, Muhammad (s.a.w).
1) Those that fly through the air
2) Those that are snakes and dogs
3) Those that stay in places and travel about.
" There are three types of jinn: one that havs wings and flies through the air, one that are snakes and
dogs, and one which stay in places but travel about."

AQEEDA. PART 1

BismiLlahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem. We send peace and salutations to the Prophet peace bee upon him, his
household, his companions and all those who have followed his path until the last day. As-Salaamu
alaikum warahmatuLahi wabarakaatuhu...
Today our short reminder will be on _Aqeeda_, the *Muslim Creed*. As we all know, the Muslim creed
is built on _Tawheed_, thus the Oneness of Allah. So what we’re going to discuss today and a couple of
days to come will be on this one pillar. Although Christianity and Judaism is classified with Islam as
monotheistic religions, they are not fit to be called monotheic in practice; due to their corrupted beliefs
about Allah.
Aqeeda in essence is a multifaceted subject, and I’ll try my possible best by the will of Allah to address
them. These presentations will be a gross oversimplification of concepts. I hope this will be a prod to
assist us in revision, further learning and reflection on these concepts.
Tawheed has been classically divided into three aspects; arRuboobiyya (Lordship), ebaada (worship) and
asmaai wasSifaat (names and attributes). So Tawheed has to do with maintaining the unity or oneness
of Allah in all these three aspects.
*_Tawheed arRboobiya_*
Maintaining the Lordship of Allah means belief that He has no associates in the creation of the universe.
The word (رَب) Lord, denotes the meaning of the Creator, Sustainer and Provider. Therefore Allah alone
is the creator of our universe. He neither needs anyone to assist Him in His creation nor does He need
someone in maitaining them.
The prophet, peace be upon him mentions in one _Hadeeth_ that every child is born on the _Fitra_, a
natural disposition and innate recognition that there is a creator of the universe (until their environment
corrupts or establishes it). This is the aspect of Tawheed that cuts across religions; and they recognize
that God created the universe we find ourselves in. We find in numerous Qur’anic verses where Allah
says that were they (pagans) to be asked of the creator of the heavens and earth, they would say Allah.
The difference between their affirmation and our affirmation is that it doesn’t lead them to the worship
of Allah. Allah says in the Qur’an, “Or do they assign to Allah partners who created the like of His
creation, so that the creation (whch they made and His creation) seemed alike. Say, ‘Allah is the Creator
of All things and He is the One, the irresistible’” and He also says, “Those whom they invoke besides
Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created.”
*_Tawheed ebaada_*
This deals with singling out Allah in all aspects that is classified under the bigger umbrella of worship.
Worship is anything that Allah loves and is pleased with. Worship entails dua, salaat, giving charity,
fasting, helping a sister in difficulty… most of our daily acts whether religious or not, could be classified
as worship if done with right intention.
In practical terms, ruboobiya of Allah actually necessitates His ebaada; Allah’s ability to create and
fashion this world alone necessitates that He be worshipped alone. In one verse, Allah says what is
translated to mean, “O mankind! Worship your Lord, Who created you and those who were before you
so that you may become God-conscious…” the subsequent verses mention several of the creations of

Allah; meaning because of His position as the originator, creator and sustainer of the universe and
everything in it, He deserves worship alone.
This concept can be summarized in our profession of “Laa ilaaha illaLlah”; there is no deity worthy of
worship except Allah. So we find this statement in two parts; ‘there is no deity worthy of worship’ and
‘except Allah’. So we first denounce every deity, and then affirm only Allah. As Allah says in the Qur’an,
“Whoever disbelieves in Taaghoot and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy
handhold that will never break…
Therefore in our calling of people, either Muslims or people of other faiths to Islam, it is healthy to start
by trying our best to awaken the Fitrah of the individual, by drawing their minds to the Lordship of Allah;
and reminding them that if Allah did all that, then He deserves absolute submission in worship.
So subsequently, we will by the will of Allah go through maintaining the oneness of Allah through His
names and attributes and then the contemporary question of ‘why Allah needs our worship’ as posed by
Atheists. May Allah preserve us.
JazaakumuLlahu khayran; wassalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuhu

SHARIYA BASE RUQYA

All praise is due to Allāh, we praise Him, seek
His aid and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allāh from the evil of our souls and from the evil of our actions. Whosoever Allah guides, there is none to misguide and whosoever He misguides, there is none to guide. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allāh alone. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
Indeed, the best of speech is the Speech of
Allāh, the best of guidance is the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad  and the worst of all affairs are the newly introduced
matters into the religion (for which there is no
textual proof) for every newly introduced matter is an innovation, every innovation is mis-guidance and every misguidance leads to the Hellfire.
Our topic today is Ruqya Based on Shariah
First of all, roqya is the treatment and relief of people whose lives are stuck and who have been suffering for years. Secondly it’s a protection for muslims against shirk and it’s a way of strengthening their faith. Thirdly it’s a way of daawa to non muslims. Then it is a fight against magicians, Satanists, seers and their associates, and a fight against any kind of shirk till it completely disappears. The existence of sorcery
Allah The Most High says : [51:52] Consistently, when a messenger went to the previous generations, they said, "Magician," or, "Crazy."
Men have always known phenomenon of sorcery and possession by jinns (spirits), only modern materialism rejects it in the name of science, trying to explain it all by psychological problems and superstitions. We are really surprised to see that some imams and scholars deny the reality of these phenomenons while angels taught magic and Allah clearly assesses the veracity of it’s effect «These two did not divulge such knowledge without pointing out: "This is a test. You shall not abuse such knowledge." But the people used it in such evil schemes as the breaking up of marriages. They can never harm anyone against the will of GOD.” [2:102] We also know how the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was victim of charm and fell sick until Allah the Most High sent him angels to inform him that he has been charmed with hairs and knots put under a stone in a dry well used for toilets. He then had to send companions to fetch it and the knots opened by the recitation of the two protection surats. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, recovered health after that. Therefore a reality.
There are four symptoms of sorcery and jinns:
1. Blockages in life: work, money, marriage, studies, contests, un-kept promises, bad luck. When these deadlocks are unusual and recurrent until they become systematic then we know it is sorcery.

2. Unusual health problems : unexplainable and permanent pains, strange diseases medicine can’t explain like open wounds, sterility and erectile dysfunction

3. Unusual mental states: anger, irritability, sadness, depression, oversight, lack of self-confidence, lack of concentration, hearing or seeing things until madness.

4. Nightmares : pursuit, snakes, dogs, bulls, militaries, masks, water, going up or down or flying, dead or graves, vehicles, fire, fishes, persistent sexual dreams.
*HOW TO TREAT THE ABOVE SYMPTOMS*
The treatment is essentially based on Quran: the Quran cancels sorcery and evil eye, burns jinns when they are unbelievers or wrong. We now need to know relevant verses and how to apply them. This is generally brought to us by the sunnah of the Prophet, blessings and greetings be upon him: we hold the person and we recite the Quran facing them,
*The verses needed to be recited*
All Quranic verses MUST be recited in Arabic.

Recite the following surahs / verses

Surat Al-Faatihah
(recite 1 time)

Surat Al-Baqarah (2/255) a.k.a. Ayat Al Kursi
(recite 7 or 11 or 21 or 41 times)

Al Ikhlaas 112
(recite 3 times)

Al-Falaq 113
(recite 3 times)

An Naas 114
(recite 3 times)
We will stop here and continue another time. May Allah accept our little effort and forgive us our sins.
