Obedience to parents

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullah In Shaa Allah, we will talking about obedience to parents this morning. May Allah make it easy for us.

THE RIGHT OF PARENTS OVER THEIR CHILDREN.📓
One of the most important acts of worship that the child is asked to do with regard to his parents is to obey them, to do as they ask and to refrain from what they tell him not to do. So if his father or mother tells him to do something, he hastens to do what he is told, and if he tells him not to do something, he hastens to give it up, so long as that does not involve any disobedience towards Allah and his messenger, because there is no obedience to any created being if it involves disobedience towards the creator.
The rights of PARENTS over their CHILDREN  may be summed up as treating them well in all matters, and behaving with them kindly as Allah says And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents[al-Ahqaaf 46:15]

"And fear Allah through whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship)". (4:1)
One must also remember how his parents suffered to raise him, especially his mother.🖊🖊🖊
The following three troubles are borne exclusively by the mother.
a) She carries the baby in her womb for nine months,
b) The labor pain which she suffers.
c) Two years' period of suckling, this disturbs her sleep at night and affects her health. She has also to be very cautious in her food for the welfare of the baby .
So their recognition by the Prophet.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A person came to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and asked, "Who among people is most deserving of my fine treatment?'' He (PBUH) said, "Your mother". He again asked, ``Who next?'' "Your mother", the Prophet (PBUH) replied again. He asked, "Who next?'' He (the Prophet (PBUH)) said again, "Your mother.'' He again asked, "Then who?'' Thereupon he (PBUH) said,'' Then your father.  🖊🖊🖊🖊 I hope men are not jealous at this point.😅😅
Allah says:
"And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years- give thanks to Me and to your parents". (31:14)
So it is an established fact that our parents have right over us.🖊🖊🖊
SO I ASK THE FOLLOWING
How many are they who bring tears to their parents eyes and cause them sleepless night? 😔
How many are they who make their parents worried and anxious, especially when they abandon them and do not visit them often?
How many are they who when they become young men and women, terrorize their parents and bring tears of fear to their eyes?
How many are who treat their parents with kindness and mercy, just as the parents used to be kind forbearing with them when they were young?
Is it not true that parents are allies of hardship, sadness, anxiety and depression, fearing for their children when they grow up?
How many are they who upon reaching the age of responsibily, abandone their parents either to recide in another area, away from them, or travel for no pressing necessity?
They abandon their crying parents and cause them to miss looking at the dearest faces to them.
However they will keep thinking about their children and remember them in their heart, even though they no longer hear their words or see their faces.
Even when they depart for work or school by day or night his parents feel emptiness in their hearts and sometimes cry.
What will they feel if they close the outside door realizing that son or daughter will not come back any time soon, glancing into his or her room and feeling sad for losing the joy of his or her company and the comfort of his or her presence?
Crying will then be their resort, teaes will provide them with shelter, and humblesness and sadness will be their rufuge.
Subhaana ALLAH Brothers and sisters lets fear Allah be obedient to our parents.
May Allah help us to fulfill the right of our parents. Ameen thuma Ameen.

HOW CAN WE OBEY OUR PARENTS

DURING THEIR LIFFE TIME
Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us ways by which we can obey our parents in a beautiful verse of His. ALLAH SAYS
"And your Rubb has decreed that you worship none but Him.
1 And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life,
2  say not to them a word of disrespect,
3. nor shout at them
4  But address them in terms of honor......
5 And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy,
6 And say: `My Rubb! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young". (17:23,24)

Shaykh al-Sadi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: be dutiful and kind to parents means: treat them kindly in all ways, in WORD and in DEED.

DURING THEIR DEATH
As for after the parents have died, the child can do many things, such as the following:

1 If he has wealth, and his parents were in debt, he can discharge their duty by paying off the debt for them.
2 If he has wealth and his parents had not performed Hajj, he may perform Hajj on their behalf, or pay for someone else to perform Hajj on their behalf.
3- Keeping good relation with family and friends of your parents when they are dead and gone.🖊🖊

It was narrated from Abd-Allaah ibn Dinaar from Abd-Allaah ibn Umar that:
a man from among the Bedouins met him on the road to Makah. Abd-Allaah greeted him with salaam, seated him on the donkey that he was riding and gave him a turban that he had been wearing on his head. Ibn Dinar said: We said to him: May Allah guide you, they are just Bedouins and they would be content with little. Abd-Allaah said: The father of this man was a friend of Umar ibn al-Khattaab and I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: The best act of kindness is for the son to uphold ties (of friendship) with those who were his fathers friends. Muslim.
3 He may pray for forgiveness for them and pray for mercy for them.

Allaah says
and say: My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young’”
[al-Isra 17:24]
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: A man may be raised in status in Paradise and will say, Where did this come from? And it will be said: From your sons praying for forgiveness for you. Narrated by Ibn Maajah.
INDEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL ONE MUST BE DUTIFUL TO HIS PARENTS

EXAMBLES FROM THE BOOK OF ALLAH
YAHYA IBN ZAKARIYYA:
O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Tawraat (Torah)]. And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.
13. And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy (or a grant) from Us, and pure from sins [i.e. Yahya (John)] and he was righteous,
14. And dutiful towards his PARENTS , and he was neither arrogant nor disobedient (to Allah or to his parents).
15. And Salaam (peace) be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up to life (again).[Maryam 19:12-15]
Ibn Jareer al-Tabari (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Here Allaah says: And dutiful towards his parents meaning that he was quick to obey them, loving towards them, and not disobedient.

and he was neither arrogant nor disobedient here Allaah tells us that he was not too proud to obey Allaah or his parents, rather he was humble and submissive towards Allaah and his parents, doing what he was commanded to and avoiding what was forbidden to him; he neither disobeyed his Lord nor his parents.

AGAIN
Abu Hurayrah was appointed in charge of Madeenah by Marwaan. He lived in Dhul-Hulayfah (approximately ten kilometers from Madeenah) and his mother lived in one house and he lived in another. When he wanted to go out he would stand at her door, and say: Peace be upon you, O my mother, and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings. And she would say: And upon you, O my son, and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings. And he would say: May Allaah have mercy on you, as you brought me up when I was young. And she would say: May Allaah have mercy on you as you took care of me when I grew old. Then when he wanted to come in, he would do likewise.   🖊🖊

ALLAHU AKBAR can we do that today?

b)One scholar(Haywah bin Shurih, )used to sit teaching people, his mother would sometimes say to him, O Haywah, feed the chickens some barely, and he would leave his audience, obey his mother then resume giving the lecture.
How beautiful. May Allah help us.
SOME BENEFITS OF OBEYING ONES PARENTS
Paradise.
A parent is the best of the gates of Jannah; so if you wish, keep to the gate, or lose it.'' [At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah].
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced, whose parents, one or both, attain old age during his life time, and he does not enter Jannah (by rendering being dutiful to them)". [Muslim].💎
Extension of life span
Sustenance in this world
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who desires ample provisions and his life be prolonged, should maintain good ties with his blood relations". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

It serve as Jihad
A person came to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and sought his permission to participate in Jihad. The Prophet (PBUH) asked, "Are your parents alive?'' He replied in the affirmative. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "(You should) consider their service as Jihad.''". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

PROHIBITION OF DISOBEYING PARENTS AND SEVERANCE OF RELATIONS
Classified as major sin
Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "(Of the) major sins are: to ascribe partners to Allah, disobey parents, murder someone, and to take a false oath (intentionally)". [Al-Bukhari].
CURSE
"And those who break the Covenant of Allah, after its ratification, and sever that which Allah has commanded to be joined (i.e., they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e., they will be far away from Allah's Mercy), and for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e., Hell).'' (13:25)

And finally one will lose all the benefits of obeying parents
MAY ALLAH GRANT US THE ABILITY TO SERVE OUR PARENST AS IT SHOULD .MAY HE NEVER MAKE US ARROGANT TO OUR PARENTS.
AMEEN .

HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS WORLD (DUNIYA) AND IN THE HEREAFTER

As Salaam alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuh fellow monotheistic brethren in Islam.
Trust we are all in goodness, auspiciousness and taqwacious state tonight??😊
Alhamdulillah alaa kulli haal
Wasolaat wasalaam alaa manlaa Nabbiyu badahuu wab'ad
Our Topic tonight is about
HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS WORLD (DUNIYA) AND  IN THE HEREAFTER (AAKHIRA)
5 Ways To Be A Winner Both In Deen & Duniya
Let's see if we can digest these five steps together
In Shaa Allah
Bismillah
Rabbi Zidnee Ilman
My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.
Part of being a Muslim involves having long-term goals. We dont just plan for this world, but rather our work should involve extending preparations for the hereafter; our eternal life. For this reason, when Allah speaks about life within the Quran, within many single verses, he mentions the life of this *Dunya and the Akhirah* together. Through His infinite mercy, he has given us the key to achieving both.
1. Know your objective
Success always involves having an objective ; a goal that is set to be achieved. Without an objective, there isnt a clear path to stride upon. Accountants, engineers, doctors, Imams and other professions all require having an objective. Before deciding as student which pathway to choose, every person has an objective and with that objective, a path is outlined eg. To become a doctor, a person has to study medicine and so theyll enrol at Med school. Likewise, this same principle applies to us muslims. What is our objective? Our Prophet (peace be upon him) stated,

The highest of them (levels of Paradise) is Firdaws and the best of them is Firdaws. The Throne is above Firdaws and from it springs forth the rivers of Paradise. If you ask of Allah, ask Him for Firdaws.
[ *Sunan Ibn Majah No. 4331]
Do not aim only for Paradise; aim for the best of it!  2. Dua
When speaking about attaining goodness, there are two verses that really stick out. *Allah says,*

 فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا* *آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ
And among the people is the one who says, Our Lord, give us in this world, and they will have in the Hereafter no share.
{Surah Baqarah 2: Ayaah 200}
This verse is then succeeded by,
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
But among them is the one who says, Our Lord, give us in this world good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.’”
{ *Baqarah 2: Ayaah 201}
Just by analysing these two amazing verses, Allah teaches us not to only focus on worldly matters ( *i.e* . *wealth* , *fame, power)* but the hereafter also has a right upon us to be sought. At the same time, we shouldnt neglect this Dunya as Allah mentions,

وَابْتَغِ فِيمَا آتَاكَ اللَّـهُ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ ۖ وَلَا تَنسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا
But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world.
{Surah Qassas 28: Ayaah 77}
Just dont make your main priority the *Dunya because it will fade away.* What will remain is the afterlife. Make dua for it is one of the strongest connections a believer has with their lord.🧕🏻🏻
3. Strive
Anything worth achieving will always require determination. Just take a look at the most successful people of today, they are where they are because of hard work. They didnt allow anyone to tell them they couldnt do it. But Allah has something better in store for those who believe and do righteous deeds. At the beginning of Surah Muminoon, a passage Im sure nearly all of us are familiar with, Allah speaks about attaining goodness,

 قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Certainly will the believers have succeeded
{ *surah Muminoon 23: Ayaah 1}
I will take roll call after the presentation

Whipping of buttocks time
Who are these people that have already succeeded?* Their characteristics are mentioned within the next few verses:
They who are during their prayer humbly submissive
And they who turn away from ill speech
And they who are observant of zakah
And they who guard their private parts
And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive
And they who carefully maintain their prayers
{ *Surah Muminoon 23: Ayaah 2-9}

 ُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ
Those are the inheritors
{ *Surah Muminoon 23: Ayaah 10}

What will they inherit?
 الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ* *فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
Who will inherit al-Firdaws. They will abide therein eternally.
{ *Surah Muminoon 23: Ayaah 11}
Allah has made this Dunya a training ground to carry out the criteria mentioned at the beginning of Surah Muminoon. By striving and struggling, the muslim achieves  in the Dunya and Akhirah.
4. Being Optimistic
The life of this world will not always go according to what you want nor will you get what you want. Allah will test you with many trials and difficulties to purify you for the next life.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,

There is no Tiyara (evil omen) and the best is Fal (optimism) They asked, What is the Fal? He said, A good word that one of you hears (and takes as optimism).
[ *Sahih Bukhari No. 5754]

How do remain positive in times of struggle? *By being optimistic in Allah and knowing that these trials will eventually come to an end.
5. Seeking protection
It will only be your enemies who will not want good for you and the greatest enemy to muslims is the Shaytan as *Allah warned us within the Quran,

 إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ* *فَاتَّخِذُوهُ عَدُوًّا ۚ
Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
{Surah Fatir 35: Ayaah 6}

Shaytan will do his utmost to get you to stray from your path. He will* *preoccupy you with the Dunya to the extent that either* *hell make you forget about the Akhirah, or he will* *trick you with the Dunya at the cost of* *the Akhirah and unfortunately, you* *will find muslims who are indulged in* *haram just to* *make a few extra pounds regardless* *of thinking whether Allah is pleased with them or* *not* .Allah says,

 *بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا*
But you prefer the worldly life,
 *وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ*
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
{ *Surah Ala 87: Ayaah 16-17}
The Akhirah will always have precedence over the Dunya because it is worth more in the sight of Allah and better for us as Muslims. This Dunya is a mere transitional phase that we will all pass through and for this reason, *the famous Tabi; Imam Hasan* *Al-Basri* ( *Rahimahullah* ) would say,
🏻🧕🏻
O youth! Seek the hereafter, for we often see people pursuing the hereafter and finding it as well as the Dunya, but we have never seen anyone pursue the Dunya and gain the hereafter as well as the Dunya.
[ *Al-Bayhaqi, Al-Zuhd Al-Kabir*
Wosollallaahu alaa Nabiyyina Muhammad wa alaa aalihi wasohbihil ahyaar wasallama tasleeman kaseerah

MALARIA

As salaamu alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuhu brothers and sisters in eemaan
We send salutations to best of creation and Allaah's most beloved messenger  محمد صلي الله عليه وسلم , his household, his companions and all rightly guided ummah.
Alhamdulillaah for Allaah granting us the opportunity to be counted among the living, not because we are better than the deceased but Allaah's own will to give us life. We are indeed thankful to  الله عزوجل for His mercies upon us.
Our presentation today is on MALARIA
We shall look into  statistics of malaria, what malaria is, causes, complications, diagnosis,  treatment etc.
In shaa Allaah
It looks like *malaria* is not any disease to talk about right?
FACTS ABOUT MALARIA
3.5 million people contract malaria every year.
Approx. 20,000 children die from Malaria

every year (25 per cent of the deaths of children under the age of five). Even if a child survives, the consequences from severe malaria such as convulsions or brain dysfunction can hamper long-term development and schooling.
UNICEF Ghana Fact Sheet- July 2007
Over a quarter of all young child deaths in Africa occur due to malaria. Pregnant women and their unborn children are particularly vulnerable to malaria, as a result of low birth weight and maternal anaemia. Hope brothers and sisters in eemaan are with us?
Infants born to mothers with malaria are likely to have low birth weight the single greatest risk factor for death during the first months of life. Malaria kills one child every 30 seconds, about 3,000 children everyday. Malaria prevalence among children under age five has decreased from 27 per cent to 21 per cent. This is according to the 2016 Ghana Malaria Indicator Survey which was conducted by the Ghana Statistical Service in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service and the National Malaria Control Programme.
Results of the survey also showed that malaria prevalence among children varies throughout the administrative regions of Ghana, ranging from 5 percent in Greater Accra to as high as 30 and 31 per cent in Central and Eastern regions respectively.
Malaria is one of the dangerous diseases which kills almost one million people every year and afflict about half a billion people globally. Africa accounts for about 90% of this.

Report from World Malaria day-2012
Malaria is one of the leading causes of illness in Ghana and the primary cause of morbidity and mortality, accounting for over three (3) million outpatient visits to public health facilities annually. It occurs all year round and affects a large proportion of the population. In 2009 reported cases attributed to malaria among children under five years were 48.9%. Among pregnant women the proportion was 11.5%.
Hope brothers and sisters in eemaan are with us?
Malaria is caused by plasmodium parasites. The parasites are spread to people through the bites if infected Anopheles mosquitoes called malaria vectors, which bite mainly between dusk and dawn. Malaria is hyper endemic, accounting for 44.5% of all outpatient attendances and 12 % of under-five mortality in Ghana.
Malaria is a major cause of absenteeism from schools and from work.
Malaria causes high rates of miscarriage (up to 60% in P falciparum) and maternal death rates of 10-50%.
What is Malaria?
Malaria is hyper endemic, accounting for 44.5% of all outpatient attendances and 12 % of under-five mortality in Ghana.
Malaria is a disease which is caused by a parasite called Plasmodium passed from one human being to another by the female Anopheles mosquito. These parasites are so small that they can only be seen with a microscope.
Malaria is transmitted by female Anopheles mosquitoes. Many species of Anopheles mosquitoes can be found in Sub-Saharan Africa. Human being serves as hosts to the malaria parasite in that the parasites live, grow and multiply in the liver and bloodstream of man. The disease carrying mosquitoes are also known as vectors. This means that they carry the parasite from one person to another person. The most common form of the malaria parasite found in Ghana is called the Plasmodium Falciparum. There are other forms of malaria parasites but the Plasmodium Falciparum is the most dangerous and causes about 95% of all malaria cases in Ghana. Malaria can be classified as either uncomplicated to complicated (severe).
How's malaria transmitted?
Malaria is transmitted by female Anopheles mosquitoes. Many species of Anopheles mosquitoes can be found in Sub-Saharan Africa. Human being serves as hosts to the malaria parasite in that the parasites live, grow and multiply in the liver and bloodstream of man. The disease carrying mosquitoes are also known as vectors. This means that they carry the parasite from one person to another person.
Malaria transmission is a cycle. When the mosquito bites a person with malaria, it sucks up a mixture of blood and malaria parasites into its stomach. The parasite takes several days to develop inside the stomach of the mosquito. The mosquito then bites another person and passes the parasite through its saliva into the next person thus infecting the new person. The parasite then live ,grow and multiply in the persons blood destroying the red blood cells and make the person very ill, causing the fever and weakness people experience when they get malaria.
According to the 2015 World Malaria Report, there were 214 million cases of malaria recorded globally in that year.
Ghana recorded 4,940, 270 suspected cases of malaria in the first half of year 2016. Thus on the average, approximately 26,922 suspected cases of malaria were recorded daily in the countrys health facilities during the period.
According to the WHO, although considerable progress has been made in the fight against malaria, the burden of the disease is still very high, especially in Africa, with the region accounting for 80% of the global malaria cases in 2015.

Symptoms of Malaria
The symptoms of malaria typically develop within 10 days to four weeks following the infection. In some cases, symptoms may not develop for several months. Some malarial parasites can enter the body but will be dormant for long periods of time. Common symptoms of malaria include:Shaking chills that can range from moderate to severe
high fever

Profuse sweating

Headache

Nausea

Vomiting

Abdominal pain

Diarrhea

Anemia

Muscle pain

Convulsions

Coma

Bloody stools
The above upon being noticed does not mean one has to quickly rush to the *licensed chemical seller for malaria drugs
The idea of "I know myself when I get malaria so I quickly get myself a medication" is bad. We need to see our doctor first to diagnose us before any prescription. Otherwise we may be doing harm to our system through drug abuse.
Diagnosis of Malaria
If you have symptoms of malaria, your doctor may order blood tests to confirm your diagnosis. These tests will show:
Whether you have malaria.
What type of malaria you have.
If your infection is caused by a parasite thats resistant to certain types of drugs.
If the disease has caused anemia
if the disease has affected your vital organs.
Life-threatening complications of malaria
Malaria can cause a number of life-threatening complications. The following may occur: Swelling of the blood vessels of the brain, or cerebral malaria.

🔺An accumulation of fluid in the lungs that causes breathing problems, or pulmonary edema.
🔺 Organ failure of the kidneys, liver, or spleen
anemia due to the destruction of red blood cells.
🔺 Reduction in blood glucose levels.

Treatment of Malaria
Malaria can be a life-threatening condition, especially if you have P. falciparum.
Treatment for the disease is typically provided in a hospital. Your doctor will prescribe medications based on the type of parasite that you have. In some instances, the medication prescribed may not clear the infection because of parasite resistance to drugs. If this occurs, your doctor may need to use more than one medication or change medications altogether to treat your condition. Additionally, certain types of malaria, such as P. vivax and P. ovale, have liver stages where the parasite can live in your body for an extended period of time and reactivate at a later date causing a relapse of the infection. If you are found to have one of these types of malaria, you will be given a second medication to prevent a relapse in the future.
Not to overburden you,  we shall pause here.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
We shall meet some other time in shaa Allaah.
Kindly pardon our mistakes. May Allaah forgive us all.
Wassalaamu alaikum warahmatullaahi wabarakaatuhu.

CURRENT PROBLEMS IN THE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN GHANA AND IT SOLUTIONS

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters in Islam
Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters in Islam
Topic
The CURRENT PROBLEMS IN THE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN GHANA AND IT SOLUTIONS
May Allah make things easy for us.
We going to start tonight's discussion
All perfect praise be to Allah,The Lord of the Worlds.
I testify that there is non worthy of worship but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger.
As the topic suggests"the current problems in the Muslim communities n how it can be solved.
First of all,a Muslim community is one which has  Muslims as the dominant people in that community.
Now,talking about problems facing the Muslim Community reminds me of a visit we embarked to one of the highly recognised  organisation in the Ghana.
According the Imam of this organisation,he has identified two major problem  facing the Muslim Ummah in Ghana, and they are :
*Ignorance* *and* *poverty*.Interestingly, these two problems have given birth to
(1)Political Vigilantism
(2)Sakawa
(3)Landguards and what have you.So he continued  by saying that: if we really want to solve our problems, then we need to fight poverty and ignorance,  because they are the two main canker plaguing our Muslim Communities.
I think I agree with him on that score and what is ur take  on that?
The issue of wearing of veil in some schools and health facilities became topical somewhere after some Muslims complained of harassment and intimidation.
From my own obsevation, there are more problems in the Muslim communities, some of them are as follows:
The issue of wearing of veil in some schools and health facilities became topical somewhere after some Muslims complained of harassment and intimidation.
Again,I have realized that there is a wide gap between our scholars and the Muslim students in the Senior High Schools and sometimes the tertiary institutions.
The issue is that, the scholars are living in a different world and students are also in a different world. Our scholars don't seem to know how Muslim students are faring in their various schools, whether they are practising the *Deen* or not. Some of the students forget about Salat as soon they go school  and some engage in all sort vices in their various schools which our scholars oblivious  about.
Another problem facing the Muslims in Ghana is inadequate Senior High Schools to cater for the growing population of Muslim students. The minister of Zongo and Inner City did a survey throughout the Zongos and it emerged that we lack senior high schools in our communities. In fact Nima was cited as one the areas that does not have a Senior High School.
Again, the muslim communities in Ghana lack hospitals to meet the growing needs of our people.
The issue HIV has also been a topic of discussion in our communities.About two weeks ago,a Muslim lady doctor was on Metro TV as guest on Islam in Focus, and she made a shocking revelation as to how HIV is spreading fast in our communities. She said she has a lot HIV cases she handling at the moment and most of them are from our Communities.
I can't talk about problems in our  communities without mentioning the issue of hajj. Every year,we have incidence of stranded pilgrims at the Hajj village and always we come up with  flimsy excuses as to why the pilgrims couldn't make it to Saudi Arabia and it seems all the time, people who are put in charge of the Hajj affairs go unpunished for all d wrongs they commit and this proplem reoccurs every year.
Lastly, the issue of leadership has always been a problem in our Muslim communities. Our leaders are not giving us hope for the future,so most of the Muslim youth lack direction.
I think the problems are many, time will not permit us to mention all of them. These are just a few of them.
These are some of the solutions that can help us curtail some of these problems
How To Solve The Problems In The Muslim Communities.
1)We need to empower ourselves economically
2)Massive Education of the people in our Communities by our leaders
3)Provision of Islamic Senior High Schools and improvement of the Arabic school infrastructure.
4)Those who fear Allah should be allowed to run the affairs of Hajj.
5)Our youth should be mentored by our leaders
6)Our scholars need to visit the various schools to know what is going on, so that they can make an informed decision about the Muslim youth.
Alhamdulillah we've come to the end of tonight's presentation.
Thank u very much for ur attention
Alhamdulillah we've come to the end of tonight's presentation.
Thank u very much for ur attention

We ask Allah to shower upon His Noble Prophet SAW, His saluations, peace and Blessing. We ask Him to bestow the Same upon the household of the Prophet SAW, his companions and all those who help on the path of Allah till the day when there shall be no shade except the shade of Allah SWA.
Indeed we should count ourselves favoured by Allah if we find ourselves in a program like this to learn about the religion of Allah and to empower ourselves with that which will help to perfect our worldly affairs and also our religious affairs.
Servants of Allah, the topic of discussion today is Teachings from the Quran and Sunnah. We ask Allah to make ease our presentation and also grant us the maximum understanding in order to assimilate whatever will be said and to be also to propagate it. May He forgive us our sins and also the mistakes we might commit in the due course of our presentation. Aameen.
Verily, the ideal way of life of a muslim is governed by the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. Everything that we need in this world and in the hereafter has been taught to us by Allah and His Messenger SAW in the Quran and through the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. So when I was given this topic, I was at a loss on how to tackle it. Because the entire Quran is filled teachings. From Fatiha to Naas. And if we are to talk of teachings from the Quran then we are actually referring to taking the surahs one after the other and then learn what each surah teaches and virtually treating the tafseers of the surahs, which we are not yet qualified to do.
Humans, as Allah SWA created us, are all different. We all come from different places and we are all faced by different situations. And that is the reason why I pray that, irrespective of what we learn from the Quran through our discussion today, it will have an impact in the lives of all those who are taking part on this presentation.
Allah the Most High started surah al Baqara with the following, Alif, Lam, Mim. This is the book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.
Allah the Sublime, says about the Quran which He sent down to our Noble Prophet Muhammad the son of AbduLlah, SAW, that indeed the Quran, the Book of Allah, the Apogee of all revelations, the summary and yet more comprehensive version of previous revelations, is a book that contains no doubt.
That this Quran is a book which presents no doubt to those who read it. It presents no doubt to anyone who comes across it and ponders about. So here comes a question? What if a person reads a portion of the Quran and does not understand it, isnt this a doubt that has been casted upon this person?
The answer to this question is that, misunderstanding is different from doubt. A person can understand something and still doubt it. With the Quran, the fact that a person reads a part and does not understand it does not mean there is a mistake in the Quran. If this person is willing to know the truth he would ask and will get an answer. And that is one of the reasons why Allah places in every generation someone who understands the religion of Allah very well and will teach it those of us who will not understand according the words of our noble Prophet SAW. So definitely, the Quran is book which was revealed to an unlettered man, who is the best man to be ever created and it is filled with absolute truth and accuracy in all senses. But Allah does not end there.
Allah continues. What does Allah continue with? Allah continues with the reason why the Quran was revealed. He continues with the reason why indeed the Quran is book with no doubts, with no errors. Allah says, a guidance for those conscious of Allah
In some translations which is often used the word pious is used in substitution for the statement conscious of Allah.
And who are the pious people servants of Allah.
In the most basic of explanations, the pious are those who obey the commandments of Allah and His Messenger and stay away from the Prohibitions of Allah and His Messenger. But there certain characteristics which are used to describe the pious in the Quran and also in the Sunnah of our Noble Prophet SAW. If one finds himself possessing some or all of these characters then he should thank Allah and know that he is threading in the right path withoiut any shred of arrogance or pride.

Allah says, [those] who believe in the unseen, establish salah and spend out of what We have provided for them.
When we say that a person is pious what do we mean by that. Such a person must believe in the unseen. The unseen are matters that are known to only Allah. You believe that it is only Allah who has knowledge of the unseen. You believe that there is life after death. And that the torment of the grave is true. These are some of the matters of the unseen. After that you establish salah.
Salah is the most important act of worship in the religion of Allah. Among the pillars of Islam, salah comes next to testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad SAW is His servant and Messenger. On the day of Qiyamah if a servants salah is perfect or deemed appropriate by Allah SWA then all his deeds will be deemed appropriate.
Salah is one the places and situations that Allah does not reject the prayer of a servant. But that is only when we give the salah its due rights. In our previous presentation entitled how to attain the Mercy of Allah that the Prophet SAW is reported to have said that Allah the Sublime said, I have divided Salah between me and My servant into two.
When My Servant says, The Best of Praise Belongs to Allah the Lord of the Universe, Allah says, My servant has praised me. When My servant says, the Most Gracious the Most Merciful, Allah SWA says, My servant has Exalted me. When My Servant says, Master of the Day of Judgement, Allah SWA says, My servant has Glorified me. And when My servant says, You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help, Allah SWA says, this is between me and My Servant and I have granted for My Servant whatever he will ask.
But servants of Allah, this conversation between Allah and His servant can only occur when you give your salah its rights. And this favour can only be gotten by those who pious.
Allah then says, and they spend out of what We have provided for them..
We are still talking about those who are conscious of Allah SWA, those who are pious. May Allah make us among them. Allah says they are those who spend out of what He has provided for them.
Servants of Allah we live in an era in which people only give Allah SWA when they have excess money of wealth to spend. People only give in the path of Allah only when they consider themselves to be rich. When people give out to Allah only when they are in difficulties and need something from Allah.
Servants of Allah, Allah is telling us that those who are indeed and actually conscious of Allah and are the true pious servants are those who give, those who spend out of what Allah has provided for them, whether what Allah has provided for them is more or very small, whether they are in need or not, whether they are rich or very poor that they dont know where their next meal will come from. These are the people Allah SWA is talking about. These are the true pious servants. May Allah make us amongs them.
To cap off our lesson from the Quran which is basically talking about the pious servants of Allah I will like to make mention of the verse of Allah in which Allah SWA says about His conscious servants,
And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves[by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins- and who can forgive sins except Allah?...
Allahu Akbar.
Allah is talking about His pious servants again. But these servants committed immoralities. These servants wronged themselves. These servants went against the commandments of Allah but how come Allah describes them among those whom He SWA considers to be pious.
This is the reason. These servants of Allah remembered Allah SWA whiles they were engrossed in disobeying Him. They remembered Allah whiles committing immoralities. They remembered Allah whiles they were committing acts that would lead them to Jahannam and what did they do when they remembered Allah. These servants sought for forgiveness. And who forgives sins lest Allah.
May Allah make us among His pious servants. And May He grant us Jannah. Servants of Allah due to unavailability of time to make adequate preparations I will end here and we pray to Allah to make us beneficiaries of whatever we have learnt. As-salamu alaykum wa RahmatuLlah wa Barakatuhu.
