THE CONCEPT OF HALAAL AND HARAAM

Asalaamu alaikum brethren.
Non deserves to be worshipped except Allah and our Noble Prophet Mohammed is the slave and servant of Allah. We ask for Allah's protection and forgiveness in all matters.
Am honoured to once again present on a topic like this and as a student of knowledge I pray Allah forgive my mistakes and rewards all of us for that which we say right. Amen
Our topic for today is HALAAL AND HARAAM
By description HALAAL is something that there is no sin in doing ; It is permissible to do that thing.
HARAAM is something that is prohibited and one gets punishment from Allah for doing it.

I must add that something might be HARAAM for someone but Halaal for another
 Because of:
1. The time he does it
2. The manner in which he does it
3. Whom he does it to etc
Example is sex. It is HARAAM for some people but not HARAAM for others based on the points above.
Only Allah commands us on what is Halaal and HARAAM and hence if you claim something is HARAAM your prove should be the book of Allah and the Sunna (hadith) of the Prophet.
Allah says
The command (or the judgement) is for none but Allaah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him…”
[Yoosuf 12:40]

We also need to understand that HARAAM and Halaal are not to make life difficult for us. Rather they are rather aimed at purifying us in the sight of Allah.
Allah does not put these limits (HARAAM or Halaal) in order to make things difficult. Allah says in the Quran
Allâh does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour to you that you may be thankful
[al-Maaidah 5:6].

How does staying away from HARAAM purifies you?
Staying away from HARAAM purifies you and sends you closer to Allah. Look at the hadiths below On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (ra):
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
"Allah the Almighty is Good and accepts only that which is good. And verily Allah has commanded the believers to do that which He has commanded the Messengers. So the Almighty has said: "O (you) Messengers! Eat of the tayyibat [all kinds of halal (legal) foods], and perform righteous deeds." [23:51] and the Almighty has said: "O you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you." [2:172]" Then he (ﷺ) mentioned [the case] of a man who, having journeyed far, is disheveled and dusty, and who spreads out his hands to the sky saying "O Lord! O Lord!," *while his food is haram (unlawful), his drink is haram, his clothing is haram, and he has been nourished with haram*, so how can [his supplication] be answered?
 [Muslim]

Today we see people who will be annoyed when a colleague of theirs draws their attention to a HARAAM activity they are doing.

It's unfortunate because the Prophet has warned us against this in the hadiths below. 👇🏾
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (ra):I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say,
"What I have forbidden for you, avoid. What I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. For verily, it was only the *excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their Prophets that destroyed [the nations] who were before you*."
[Bukhari; Muslim]

We have some people who will make make even Halaal a HARAAM on themselves or vice versa and sometimes they even forbid others from doing that which is Halaal. Allah warns against such individuals in the glorious Quran.
And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: This is lawful and this is forbidden., so as to invent lies against Allaah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allaah will never prosper.
[al-Nahl 16:116]
May Allah guide us towards killing of pride. It is when we kill our pride that we can accept correction. This is the little on HARAAM and Halaal.
Asalaamu alaikum
