In the Name of Allah, the
Most Gracious, Ever Merciful.
Praise be to the Nourisher of
the Worlds, All thanks are exclusively His (the Almighty above the horizons).
Blessings and salutations upon Muhammad (pbuh), his household, companions and
those follows suit his way.
Allah says,
"O you
who believe! save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men
and stones; over it are angels stern and strong, they do not disobey Allah in
what He commands them, and do as they are commanded." (At-Tahrim, Verse 6)
Respected brethren, the topic
we have at hand tonight is,
How to save yourself from
Allah's punishment.
The very first factor the
saves one from the punishment of Allah is Al-Islam..
من سلّم سلم
Whoever submits totally and
unconditionally his will to the will of his Maker, Allah, is save and secured
from the punishment of Allah.
For Qur'an speaks : "O
ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be Feared, and die not except in a
state of Islam. ( Quran, 3:102) ".
However a Muslim might offer perfom a
sin that might take him out of Islam or might invite upon him the wrath of
Allah and not necessarily taking them out of the fold of Islam.
Darkness of Polytheism
(Shirk) and Hypocrisy (Nifaaq) are kind of movements that render one a
non-believer (كافر) for they take one off the constants of Islam.
"Allah forgiveth not
that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to
whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with God is to devise a sin Most heinous
indeed. (Quran, 4:48) "
In the above Noble Verses, we
clearly see that Allah Almighty accepts nothing from a person after death but
his belief in Islam and He, Allah is Willing to forgive our sins.
Hypocrisy on the other hand
is a serious sickness and a great crime. It means making an outward display of
Islam whilst inwardly concealing kufr. Hypocrisy is more dangerous than kufr
(disbelief) and the punishment for it is more severe, because it is kufr mixed
with Islam and its harmful effects are greater. Hence Allaah will put the
hypocrites in the lowest level of Hell.
as He says
“Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth
(grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them[al-Nisaa’
4:145].
Respected brethren Sihr
(magic) is not an exception of the movements that take one out of fold of
Islam.
There are numerous opinions
regarding the question of 'what is magic' and 'when did it come into
existence'? Nevertheless, it is evident that magic has been prevalent amongst
people since ancient times, but the exact date of its origin is unknown; in
addition, it is also not known as to who was the first person to have brought
it into existence.
However, with respect to its
meaning and essence, it can be said that magic is a kind of supernatural act
which has an impact on men; at times it is a kind of jugglery and sleight of
hand, while on other occasions it is just psychological and imaginary.
According to the dictionary,
magic has two meanings:
Deception, guile, sleight of
hand and legerdemain; and according to the book Qamus al-Lughah , magic means
'to deceive'.
ﮐُﻞُّ ﻣﺎَ ﻟَﻄُﻒَ ﻭَ ﺩَﻕَّ .
“All such things, the causes of which are invisible and
mysterious.”
In Raghib's book al-Mufradat
, which is devoted to analysing words appearing in the Qur’an,
three meanings have been mentioned for it:
a. Deception and
imaginations, which are devoid of reality - like sleight of hand.
b. Attracting the Satans by
special means and seeking assistance from them.
And there is another meaning
that some have been given to imagine and that is: It is possible to transform
the essence and form of people or entities by certain means; for example,
transforming man by means of it, into an animal. However, this kind is nothing
more than mere fancy, and without an iota of reality. The Prophet (saws)
commanded: “Kill every sorcerer, for this is the punishment
ordained by Allah.”
This is the fiqh (legal)
opinion of Imam Abu Haneefah, Imam Maalik, and Imam Ahmad the founders of the
Madhhabs of Law in Islam, in all four madhhabs (schools of Law) including the
Shafii Madhhab practicing Sihr is a capital punishment and one of the worst
sins a person can commit on the same level with Kufr, leaving Islam, because
Allah says many times in the Quran it is Kufr (2:102).
Allah in a single verse
(2:102) says Sihr is Disbelief (Kufr) multiple times to emphasis this point,
that the person who practices dark magic and the person who has it practiced
for him have left Islam:
“And they followed [instead] what the devils had
recited during the reign of Solomon. It wasnot Solomon who disbelieved , but
the devils disbelieved , (by) teaching people magic and that which was revealed
to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach
anyone unless they say, “We are a
trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic].”
For that matter the point of
reflection at this point over the movements that call for a Muslim falling into
a *disbelieve* is, we must know that
practicing upon those movements only attract the punishment of Allah.
with Sincerity and Conformity
with the cammands of Allah, only deeds
can be accepted and truthfulness in one's faith leaving all deities aside the
worship of Allah are what prevent one from punishment and grant him mercy of
paradise..
Qur'an
speaks,
"Whoever obeys Allah and the
Messenger is with those whom Allah has blessed." [ Al-Qur'an 4:68]
Furthermore, having
established that there are movements that take one out of Islam, sins are of
degrees and quantum.
And vary between grave and
minor sins. Some sins are graver than others.
The deliverer of the glad tidings and the
Warner (prayers and peace of Allah be upon him) warned us from the all sins,
whether they are grave or minor. In some situations, he described some of the
sins with specific attributes, and he assigned signs for other sins in other
situations. Among these sins are the seven great destructive sins.
Abu Hurayra (may Allah be
pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (prayers and peace of Allah be upon
him) said: “Avoid the seven great destructive sins.”
"O Allah's Apostle! What
are they?” The companions enquired.
He said, “To join others in worship along with Allah, to
practice magic, to kill the life which Allah has forbidden except for a just
cause, (according to Islamic law), to eat up Riba (usury), to eat up an
orphan's wealth, to give back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at
the time of fighting, and to accuse, chaste women, who never even think of
anything touching chastity and are good believers.” [Agreed upon]
« ﺍﺟﺘﻨﺒﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﺴﺒﻊ ﺍﻟﻤﻮﺑﻘﺎﺕ،ﻗﺎﻟﻮﺍ : ﻳﺎ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ : ﻭﻣﺎ ﻫﻦ
؟ ﻗﺎﻝ : ﺍﻟﺸﺮﻙ ﺑﺎﻟﻠﻪ ، ﻭﺍﻟﺴﺤﺮ ، ﻭﻗﺘﻞ ﺍﻟﻨﻔﺲ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺣﺮﻡ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺇﻻ ﺑﺎﻟﺤﻖ ، ﻭﺃﻛﻞ ﺍﻟﺮﺑﺎ ،
ﻭﺃﻛﻞ ﻣﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻴﺘﻴﻢ ، ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻮﻟﻲ ﻳﻮﻡ ﺍﻟﺰﺣﻒ ، ﻭﻗﺬﻑ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﺼﻨﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻤﺆﻣﻨﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻐﺎﻓﻼﺕ »

Per the above explanation, we
have to know factors that invite the wrath and punishment of Allah.. Then to
leave them with knowing of it's really. In that you guard yourself from the
wrath of Allah. However, after having got to know that some movements really
can exit one from Islam..
We, for that matter has to
know some movements that can rather facilitate one's entry into Jannah. The
five pillars of Islam are first to be considered.. For without these pillars
nothing cannot be considered strong.
The other worship such as the
Recitation of the Quran, saying praises to prophet, striving on the course of
Allah, feeding the needy and so on.
Will Only explain a little
the integral points..... Recitation of Qur'an with good intent,
It is proven in the saheeh
Sunnah that the Qur’an will intercede for its companions on the Day of
Resurrection. Muslim (804) narrated that Abu Umaamah al-Baahili said: I heard
the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “Read
the Qur’aan, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection
interceding for its companions.”
Imam Ahmad (6589) narrated
from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be
pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be
upon him) said: “Fasting and the Qur’an
will intercede for a person on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say: O
Lord, I kept him from his food and desires during the day; let me intercede for
him. And the Qur’an will say: I kept him from sleeping during the
night; let me intercede for him. And they will be allowed to intercede.”
Classed as saheeh by
al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami‘ , 7329
Also, believe in Allah, and
his messenger, striving on Allah's course,
of one's money for Allah's.
Qur'an speaks,
[61:11] O ye
who believe! shall I point out to you a bargain that will save you from a
painful punishment?
[61:12] That
you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and strive in the cause of Allah with
your wealth and your persons. That is better for you, if you did but know.
Finally... Seeking for the
forgiveness of Allah saves from Allah's punishment, Allah says,
"And
Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness" [Quran, 8:33]
One of the scariest things in
human life is disaster— when something
horrible happens out of the blue and without us expecting it. There are very
few things that terrify people more than something like that.
Islamically, they can be both
tests and punishments. As Muslims, we don’t
want to be punished by Allah. We don’t want to experience
any of it. And istighfar is the promise from Allah that it’s
not going to happen.
He has our back as long as we seek His
forgiveness. In the end, we have to throw away
everything that can invite on us the wrath of Allah. And to perform acts
that will facilitate His mercy on us.
Thanks to you all for your
time. Allah bless you all with much good.
