THE FUTURE TENSE

 THE  FUTURE TENSE

📓Note(s) ;

The present tense sometimes gives the meaning of an action that will be executed in the near future. For example, the verb; أجلس could mean the following;

1. I am sitting

2. I will sit, depending on the context.

However, there are specific features that are used to express the future tense.

Consider the following verbs in the present form.

1. أَجْلِسُ

2. نَكْتُبُ

To express them in the future; add the prefix.  سَ  or  َسَوْف

Hence

١.  أجلس

  becomes سأجلس or سوف أجلس meaning "I will sit"

٢.  نجلس

becomes سنجلس or سوف نجلس meaning "we shall sill"

NB;  سوف is used to express an action that would be done very soon.

On the other hand, س is used to express an action that would be than in later times.

Exercise;

Change the following sentences to future tense

1.  أذهب إلى المستشفى

2. أشرَب الماء

3. يَرْكَبُ محمد السَّيَّارَةَ

Hope to meet you in our next class , same time. Inshaa Allah. 😊
