ANAWAWI’S 40 HADITH.HADITH 5

BRIEF EXPLANATION
Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh
We begin today's lecture by acknowledging Allah's favors on us and sending praise to His beloved Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions and all those who follows their path of success in this world to the hereafter
Our hadith is #5 of annawawis
On the authority of the mother of the believers Aisha May Allah be pleased with her
She said : The messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم
Said; Who ever innovates in this our matter (Islam) what is not of it will have it rejected
Recorded in Bukhari and Muslim .In another version from Muslim
" Whoever does anything that is not in this our matter ( Islam) will have it rejected "
Scholars (most prominent of which is Imam Shafii) generally have divided bid'ah into two types: innovations in worldly matters and innovations in religious matters.
Some have additionally divided bid'ah into lawful and unlawful innovations, the details of which are discussed below.
Introducing and acting upon a bidah in religious matters is a sin and considered one of theenormities in Islam that is obligatory to immediately desist and repent from.
In worldly matters
Sunni Muslim scholars have divided bidah in worldly matters into two types:
Good and bad innovation:Bid'ah Say'iah, "a new thing" which "opposes the Quran and Sunnah" or is "against Islam" (Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya) or "Sharia(Islamic law)" (Muhammad Ramzaan), or removes sunnah or wajib and is forbidden.Bid'ah Hasana, a new thing that is not against the Sharia (according to scholars such as Muhammad ash-Shawkani Al-Nawawi Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani,  Ibn Manzur, Al-Raghib al-Isfahani and Badr al-Din al-Ayni). An example ofBid'ah Hasana is the development of the study of Hadith, Fiqh, Tafsir, which did not exist at the time of the Islamic prophet Muhammad
Among other worldly innovations are. The different means of transportation such as cars, trains, motorcycles and so on. All these good forms of worldly innovations.
Others include clothes and different forms of clothes that are ISLAMICALLY ACCEPTED by standards of morality cherished by Islam. However, religious form of innovations MUST BE CAREFULLY LOOKED AT. This is to make sure that they do not go against the Quran and Sunna. Religious forms of innovations such as using technology to propagate Islam and to ease the burden of the Islamic communities are accepted. The above forms of innovations are considered good in Islam. On the other hand innovations that involve introducing a NEW FORM OF WORSHIP ARE UNEQUIVOCALLY PROHIBITED. These forms of innovations go against the Quran and Sunna of the messenger. The implications of the above type of Bid'ah
Is that
The innovator is pointing that the messenger did not fully deliver his massage as Allah instructed him.May Allah forbid
Allah says in his glorious book
Oh you messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم )
deliver what has been revealed to you from your lord. If you failed to do that then you have not delivered his (Allah's) massage. And Allah will protect you from the (evil of) people.
So therefore the Prophet Muhammad could not afford to conceal any thing as he had divine protection from all evil. When the above verse was revealed, the prophet called those companions who were guarding him to go and take care of their affairs as Allah has taken charge of his protection.
Why COULD HE HIDE ANYTHING FROM HIS UMMA
MAY ALLAH HAVE MERCY ON US AND GUIDE THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE INNOVATIONS OF OTHERS WITHOUT KNOWING
SHAITAAN HAD VOWED NOT TO TEMPER WITH SUCH PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY WILL NEVER REALIZE THEIR OWN DOOM
WE SHALL END OUR LESSON HERE
MAY ALLAH FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES
AND BLESS OUR LITTLE EFFORTS
WASSALAAMU ALAIKUM
