Obedience to parents

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullah In Shaa Allah, we will talking about obedience to parents this morning. May Allah make it easy for us.

THE RIGHT OF PARENTS OVER THEIR CHILDREN.📓
One of the most important acts of worship that the child is asked to do with regard to his parents is to obey them, to do as they ask and to refrain from what they tell him not to do. So if his father or mother tells him to do something, he hastens to do what he is told, and if he tells him not to do something, he hastens to give it up, so long as that does not involve any disobedience towards Allah and his messenger, because there is no obedience to any created being if it involves disobedience towards the creator.
The rights of PARENTS over their CHILDREN  may be summed up as treating them well in all matters, and behaving with them kindly as Allah says And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents[al-Ahqaaf 46:15]

"And fear Allah through whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship)". (4:1)
One must also remember how his parents suffered to raise him, especially his mother.🖊🖊🖊
The following three troubles are borne exclusively by the mother.
a) She carries the baby in her womb for nine months,
b) The labor pain which she suffers.
c) Two years' period of suckling, this disturbs her sleep at night and affects her health. She has also to be very cautious in her food for the welfare of the baby .
So their recognition by the Prophet.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A person came to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and asked, "Who among people is most deserving of my fine treatment?'' He (PBUH) said, "Your mother". He again asked, ``Who next?'' "Your mother", the Prophet (PBUH) replied again. He asked, "Who next?'' He (the Prophet (PBUH)) said again, "Your mother.'' He again asked, "Then who?'' Thereupon he (PBUH) said,'' Then your father.  🖊🖊🖊🖊 I hope men are not jealous at this point.😅😅
Allah says:
"And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years- give thanks to Me and to your parents". (31:14)
So it is an established fact that our parents have right over us.🖊🖊🖊
SO I ASK THE FOLLOWING
How many are they who bring tears to their parents eyes and cause them sleepless night? 😔
How many are they who make their parents worried and anxious, especially when they abandon them and do not visit them often?
How many are they who when they become young men and women, terrorize their parents and bring tears of fear to their eyes?
How many are who treat their parents with kindness and mercy, just as the parents used to be kind forbearing with them when they were young?
Is it not true that parents are allies of hardship, sadness, anxiety and depression, fearing for their children when they grow up?
How many are they who upon reaching the age of responsibily, abandone their parents either to recide in another area, away from them, or travel for no pressing necessity?
They abandon their crying parents and cause them to miss looking at the dearest faces to them.
However they will keep thinking about their children and remember them in their heart, even though they no longer hear their words or see their faces.
Even when they depart for work or school by day or night his parents feel emptiness in their hearts and sometimes cry.
What will they feel if they close the outside door realizing that son or daughter will not come back any time soon, glancing into his or her room and feeling sad for losing the joy of his or her company and the comfort of his or her presence?
Crying will then be their resort, teaes will provide them with shelter, and humblesness and sadness will be their rufuge.
Subhaana ALLAH Brothers and sisters lets fear Allah be obedient to our parents.
May Allah help us to fulfill the right of our parents. Ameen thuma Ameen.

HOW CAN WE OBEY OUR PARENTS

DURING THEIR LIFFE TIME
Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us ways by which we can obey our parents in a beautiful verse of His. ALLAH SAYS
"And your Rubb has decreed that you worship none but Him.
1 And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life,
2  say not to them a word of disrespect,
3. nor shout at them
4  But address them in terms of honor......
5 And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy,
6 And say: `My Rubb! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young". (17:23,24)

Shaykh al-Sadi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: be dutiful and kind to parents means: treat them kindly in all ways, in WORD and in DEED.

DURING THEIR DEATH
As for after the parents have died, the child can do many things, such as the following:

1 If he has wealth, and his parents were in debt, he can discharge their duty by paying off the debt for them.
2 If he has wealth and his parents had not performed Hajj, he may perform Hajj on their behalf, or pay for someone else to perform Hajj on their behalf.
3- Keeping good relation with family and friends of your parents when they are dead and gone.🖊🖊

It was narrated from Abd-Allaah ibn Dinaar from Abd-Allaah ibn Umar that:
a man from among the Bedouins met him on the road to Makah. Abd-Allaah greeted him with salaam, seated him on the donkey that he was riding and gave him a turban that he had been wearing on his head. Ibn Dinar said: We said to him: May Allah guide you, they are just Bedouins and they would be content with little. Abd-Allaah said: The father of this man was a friend of Umar ibn al-Khattaab and I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: The best act of kindness is for the son to uphold ties (of friendship) with those who were his fathers friends. Muslim.
3 He may pray for forgiveness for them and pray for mercy for them.

Allaah says
and say: My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young’”
[al-Isra 17:24]
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: A man may be raised in status in Paradise and will say, Where did this come from? And it will be said: From your sons praying for forgiveness for you. Narrated by Ibn Maajah.
INDEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL ONE MUST BE DUTIFUL TO HIS PARENTS

EXAMBLES FROM THE BOOK OF ALLAH
YAHYA IBN ZAKARIYYA:
O Yahya (John)! Hold fast the Scripture [the Tawraat (Torah)]. And We gave him wisdom while yet a child.
13. And (made him) sympathetic to men as a mercy (or a grant) from Us, and pure from sins [i.e. Yahya (John)] and he was righteous,
14. And dutiful towards his PARENTS , and he was neither arrogant nor disobedient (to Allah or to his parents).
15. And Salaam (peace) be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up to life (again).[Maryam 19:12-15]
Ibn Jareer al-Tabari (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Here Allaah says: And dutiful towards his parents meaning that he was quick to obey them, loving towards them, and not disobedient.

and he was neither arrogant nor disobedient here Allaah tells us that he was not too proud to obey Allaah or his parents, rather he was humble and submissive towards Allaah and his parents, doing what he was commanded to and avoiding what was forbidden to him; he neither disobeyed his Lord nor his parents.

AGAIN
Abu Hurayrah was appointed in charge of Madeenah by Marwaan. He lived in Dhul-Hulayfah (approximately ten kilometers from Madeenah) and his mother lived in one house and he lived in another. When he wanted to go out he would stand at her door, and say: Peace be upon you, O my mother, and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings. And she would say: And upon you, O my son, and the mercy of Allaah and His blessings. And he would say: May Allaah have mercy on you, as you brought me up when I was young. And she would say: May Allaah have mercy on you as you took care of me when I grew old. Then when he wanted to come in, he would do likewise.   🖊🖊

ALLAHU AKBAR can we do that today?

b)One scholar(Haywah bin Shurih, )used to sit teaching people, his mother would sometimes say to him, O Haywah, feed the chickens some barely, and he would leave his audience, obey his mother then resume giving the lecture.
How beautiful. May Allah help us.
SOME BENEFITS OF OBEYING ONES PARENTS
Paradise.
A parent is the best of the gates of Jannah; so if you wish, keep to the gate, or lose it.'' [At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah].
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced! May he be disgraced, whose parents, one or both, attain old age during his life time, and he does not enter Jannah (by rendering being dutiful to them)". [Muslim].💎
Extension of life span
Sustenance in this world
Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who desires ample provisions and his life be prolonged, should maintain good ties with his blood relations". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

It serve as Jihad
A person came to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and sought his permission to participate in Jihad. The Prophet (PBUH) asked, "Are your parents alive?'' He replied in the affirmative. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "(You should) consider their service as Jihad.''". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

PROHIBITION OF DISOBEYING PARENTS AND SEVERANCE OF RELATIONS
Classified as major sin
Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "(Of the) major sins are: to ascribe partners to Allah, disobey parents, murder someone, and to take a false oath (intentionally)". [Al-Bukhari].
CURSE
"And those who break the Covenant of Allah, after its ratification, and sever that which Allah has commanded to be joined (i.e., they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e., they will be far away from Allah's Mercy), and for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e., Hell).'' (13:25)

And finally one will lose all the benefits of obeying parents
MAY ALLAH GRANT US THE ABILITY TO SERVE OUR PARENST AS IT SHOULD .MAY HE NEVER MAKE US ARROGANT TO OUR PARENTS.
AMEEN .

ISLAMIC KNOWLEGDE AND SECULAR KNOWLEGDE

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakaatuh
In Shaa Allah we shall be talking bout KNOWLEDGE and EDUCATION which we all know as  essential ingredients for our existence as Muslims. We shall briefly Discuss them and also Suggest ways through with we can  acquire the Islamic knowledge even on campus. In Shaa Allah. 🖊🖊
All praise is due to Allaah, Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon the noble Messenger, his family and companions.
Ameen Thuma Ameen.

DID YOU KNOW❓❓
Fellow brothers and sisters! Knowledge and education occupy a great position in Islaam. It is by knowledge that one increases his rank and wins valuable treasures. Allaah will exalt in degree those of you who believe and those who have been granted knowledge. And Allaah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Mujaadalah: 11).

The Prophet Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, Whoever takes a path in search for knowledge, Allaah will facilitate for him a path to Paradise. (Muslim).

Propagating knowledge is an obligation on everyone. It includes knowledge in all aspects of human life. The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim. (Ibn Maajah).

ARE YOU AWARE🤔

Brothers and in faith! Each nation has goals and interests to achieve by its education. Nations strive to achieve lofty aspirations and objectives through their institutes of knowledge and education, the most prominent of which is inculcating in their growing generations the spirit of learning, its concepts and types.

An educationist was asked about the future of a nation and he replied, Show me its educational system so that I can tell you about its future.

Therefore, learning and education, in all aspects, are a great means for creating a generation that will believe in the principles of its nation and its values. They are also the vehicles of progress for the society as a whole.

AGAIN DID YOU KNOW❓❓
In Islaam, knowledge has great objectives that guarantee happiness for individuals, and peace for societies in this world and the next?. The Islaamic Ummah, being an Ummah of faith based on a divine message, aims at implementing Allaahs law in this life in all its spheres. There is no wonder then that learning, in all its forms, becomes a tool for creating generations that will believe in what Islaam stands for and have faith in the true and pure creed that the message of Islaam preaches.
Islaam encourages knowledge and learning and lays emphasis on education, in its capacity, as the basis and foundation through which correct concepts can be imbibed in mens hearts about their Lord. This is because of the effects that those concepts have, like controlling ones behavior and direction, which consequently lead to victory and happiness for mankind. Allaah says which means, It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allaah. (Faatir: 28)
.May  Allah grant us beneficial knowledge. Ameen Thuma Ameen.

In addition, our religion encourages seeking knowledge and spreading awareness that provides good for individuals and communities and keeps the life of this world moving in accordance to the will of Allaah.
Therefore, all aspects of knowledge that actualize the concept of dignity of labor and inculcate sound ideas in the mind that lead to constructive deeds are some of the goals of Islaam. Islaam aims at producing a believing generation that ) for its religion and its world, and takes part in developing its Ummah and society within a framework of noble life full of honor, dignity and supremacy. The Prophet said, The strong believer is better than the weak one, though in both of them there is good.

We must make these goals be the direction of all our attentions and let their actualization in the Muslim society be our aim. Become a youth that will owe its obligation to Islaam firstly and then to his country.
We should try our best to inculcate in our minds true allegiance and love for Islaam and for the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. Endeavor to let them know the realities of this religion. Learn to hold fast to Islamic morals and noble conducts in our homes, schools, on the road, in the marketplace and in all fields of life. Those are our responsibilities and duties towards the Ummah; and know that, Every one of you is a shepherd and each one of you will be held responsible for his flock.

DID YOU KNOW

Brothers and sisters, The best thing upon which one can exert his efforts and spend all his money and time, is to seek for the knowledge of the Book of Allaah; to learn it, reflect upon its meaning and understand it.?

The Prophet said, The best among you is the one that learns the Quraan and then teaches it. So, direct our effort to learn the Quraan and memorize it, especially during this age when facilities for it are quite abundant. If we do that, we will have commendable returns and fulfilling results. The Prophet said, Allaah raises some people with this Book and relegates others by it.

Let your endeavors be extended also towards teaching and learning from the Quran, Hadeeths, and prophets noble characters and his exalted virtues aside our various programs of study, for there is no good in any education that is devoid of those great concepts and lofty manners.

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam said, When Allaah wants good for someone, He gives him the understanding of the religion.

Again Allah Say: Are those who know equal to those who know not? It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allahs Signs and Verses)
[az-Zumar 39:9].

May Allah bestow upon us the two types of knowledge.
Thus the knowledge of the Deen and the knowledge of this world.  Ameen

(a)  How can you combine the pursuit of Islamic knowledge with his or her studies in college or university?
1.     This can be done by organizing your time and giving each matter its due share of attention. If college takes up one third of your time, then give two or three hours to seeking knowledge, and allocate the rest of the time for your work.

2.     Find a branch of Islamic knowledge that matches the type of knowledge you are studying at university. You are studying business, but this business needs knowledge of many Islamic rulings having to do with transactions and buying and selling. This will help you to combine the two matters, or to contribute to the development of the Islamic economy or Islamic banking. This is an important area in which you can serve Islam.

3. You can attain divine help and blessing by asking Allah for that. How many people there are who have free time but they cannot find time to seek Islamic knowledge, because they are deprived of divine help. And how many busy people there are, who are burdened with worldly concerns and seeking halaal provision, but they find surplus time by the blessing of Allah. Among the things that bring them divine help and blessings is keeping away from sin and doing a lot of acts of worship and obedience.

4. Combining the two matters may mean delaying the pursuit of Islamic knowledge until you finish studying in the college, if college and work are taking up all your time and effort. In most cases studies finish within a certain timeframe, whereas the pursuit of Islamic knowledge is something that may last from the cradle to the grave.

However, I would like to point out: even if you cannot attain it all, do not give it up altogether. Rather try your best, do what you are able, and fear Allah as much as you can.🖊🖊🖊

(b)  How can you seek knowledge, and what are the suggested ways for you, when you are short of time?❓❓
1.     The pursuit of knowledge is based on sincerity and acting upon what one learns. So you should bear this in mind so that Allah might decree divine help and support for you.🖊🖊
2.     You should try to receive knowledge from scholars or seekers of knowledge who are strong in their knowledge, if you can, because the people of knowledge will save you time and effort, and will guide you if you drift away from the right path. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets. Narrated by Abu Dawood .🖊🖊🖊
3.   Strive hard and try your best, for this kind of knowledge is heavy and it will not allow you to take some of it until you give it your all. You should make sure that you have a proper understanding of what you read and memorize what you learn of short textbooks that you may find.🖊🖊

4.     Keep company with seekers of knowledge and those who are eager to attain knowledge, for this companionship will help you to revise and study, and will help you to aspire to more.🖊🖊🖊
(c)  How can you reconcile between having little time and seeking knowledge?

If your lectures takes up twelve hours and you add to that effort to seek islamic knowledge, this may be too physically exhausting, so we advise you to be kind to yourself and seek knowledge little by little. Try to invest whatever time you can at lectures into listening or reciting your regular portion of Quran, and the like, in such a way that this will not adversely affect the work that you are doing and that has been entrusted to you.

BUT REMEMBER IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO SEEK KNOWLEDGE

MAY ALLAH GRANT US BENEFITIAL KNOWLEDGE AMEEN
This the end of my presentation. May Allah forgive our short comings and may he grant us tomorrow. Wa salaamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakaatuh.

THE CONCEPT OF TAQWA AND HOW TO ACHIEVE PIETY

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakaatuh. 🖌
I bear witness that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partners or associates. I also bear witness that Muhammad (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is His slave and Messenger. He sent him (Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) to us as a favour and bounty from Himself.
Inshaa Allah, we will be talking about,
THE CONCEPT OF TAQWA AND HOW TO ACHIEVE PIETY.
I advise and remind you and myself, O brothers and sisters in Islam , to be conscious and fearful of Allah, for might and honor lies in fearing of Allah and  the people of Taqwa, or( piety and righteousness), are the people of joy and pride. Piety, O Brothers and Sisters, is a great treasure and beloved to us. It is the treasure of the Dunyah, (this life) and of the life to come.
For Allah Says:
Take provisions for your journey, but the best provision is Taqwa, or piety and righteousness (Al-Baqarah: 197).
Alhamdullillah, the word TAQWAA could mean (virtue, righteousness ,fear, piety ) so In Shaa Allah ,we will be considering the words interchangeably.🖊
FIRST DIMENSION📙📓📙
All people are the descendants of one man and one woman, believer and kaafir, black and white, Arab and non-Arab, rich and poor, noble and lowly.
Islam does not pay attention to differences in colour, race or lineage. All people come from Adam, and Adam was created from dust. In Islam, differentiation between people is based on faith and piety (taqwaa or Al-birr) , by doing that which Allaah has enjoined and avoiding that which Allaah has prohibited. Allaah says:

O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. he is one of the Muttaqoon (the pious)]. Verily, Allaah is All-Knowing, All Aware [al-Hujuraat 49:13]
Fear of Allah, may He be exalted, is obligatory for everyone, and no one can be guaranteed safety from Allahs punishment except by fearing Him. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says: so fear them not, but fear Me, if you are (true) believers [Aal Imraan 3:175].🖊

Islam regards all people as equal as far as rights and duties are concerned People are equal before the law (shareeah), as Allaah says:

Whoever works righteousness whether male or female while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islamic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter) [al-Nahl 16:97]🖊

Faith, truthfulness and piety all lead to Paradise, which is the right of the one who acquires these attributes, even if he is one of the weakest or lowliest of people. Allaah says:

And whosoever believes in Allaah and performs righteous good deeds, He will admit him into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) to dwell therein forever. Allaah has indeed granted for him an excellent provision [al-Talaaq 65:11]
Kufr, arrogance and oppression all lead to Hell, even if the one who does these things is one of the richest or noblest of people. Allaah says:
But those who disbelieved (in the Oneness of Allaah Islamic Monotheism) and denied Our Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will be the dwellers of the Fire, to dwell therein forever. And worst indeed is that destination [al-Taghaabun 64:10]🖊
May Allah guide us all. Ameen
The advisors of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) included Muslim men of all tribes, races and colors.  They believed in Allaah and strove for His sake, until Allaah and His Messenger were pleased with them. They were the true believers.

Their reward with their Lord is Adn (Eden) Paradise (Gardens of Eternity), underneath which rivers flow. They will abide therein forever, Allah will be pleased with them, and they with Him. That is for him who fears his Lord [al-Bayyinah 98:8)🖊

SECOND DIMENSION
The Muslims need one another with regard to both worldly and religious affairs, hence cooperation among Muslims is something important that Allaah has enjoined and He has made cooperation the basis for religious and worldly well-being. The Muslims if they achieve this cooperation are described as a strong, integrated structure, and as a single body. All of that confirms that cooperation and mutual support among them is something essential.
That includes many aspects in the lives of Muslims, which are summed up in the words birr (righteousness) and taqwa (piety), as Allaah says Help you one another in AlBirr and AtTaqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment [al-Maaidah 5:2].
These are two words that sum up all the attributes of goodness, such as belief, conduct, rulings and so on.
RIGHTEOUSNESS OR AL-BIRR
Righteousness according to various dictionaries it means morally good or following religious or moral laws in a justifiable manner. In Arabic it is called as Al-Birr.It is very common for to hear (and even use) such words of praise: That person is a very righteous person. OrSuch and such person is not a righteous person at all. Who are actual Righteous persons (i.e. Al-Birr)?  🖍

What is actual Righteousness OR AlBirr ?❓❓
In perspective of the Quran
Quran gives the clear definition of righteousness in detail. Allah said: It is not Al- Birr (righteousness) that you turn your faces towards east and / or west (in prayers); but Al-Birr (righteous) is one who;

1. Believes in

a) Allah

b) The Last Day

c) The Angels

d) The Book (Quran)

e) The Prophets.🖊

2. Gives his / her wealth, inspite of love for it,

a) To the kinsfolk

b) To the orphans

c) To Al-Masakeen (the poor people)

d) To the wayfarer (musafir)

e) To those who ask

f) To set the slaves free.🖊

3. Performs As-Salat

4. Gives Zakat

5. Fulfill their covenant when they make it (meaning: to keep promises)

 6. Are patient in extreme poverty & ailment and at the times of fighting (battles).
Such are the people of truth and they are Al-Muttaqun(Pious).  Quran Surah Al-Baqarah, 2: 177

The first thing is to have Eeman(Belief) on Allah and 4 other things mentioned there; the second thing is to spend wealth. Spending wealth has been placed before performing Salat. In fact, performing Salat is preceded by spending wealth and succeeded by paying Zakat. It shows how much weightage Allah gives to spending in the cause of Allah.

Allah mentions in the Quran : By no means shall you attain Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, Allahs reward), unless you spend of that which you love; and whatever of good you spend, Allah knows it well.Quran Surah Aal-Imran, 3:92 🖊
May count us among the above mentioned believers. Ameen In the light of Hadith📒📒
It was narrated that Anas said:"When this ayath was revealed -'By no means shall you attain Al Birr (piety, righteousness (Quran 3:92)--here it means Allah's reward, i.e. Paradise), unless you spend (in Allah's cause) of that which you love'- Abu Talha said: 'Our Lord will ask us about our wealth. I adjure you, O Messenger of Allah! I am giving my land to Allah.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Make it for your relatives, Hassan bin Thabit and Ubayy bin Ka'b.'"   Sahih al-Bukhari Vol.4:2758 and Sunan an-Nasa'i Vol.4 :3602 [2]

How can one attain this status ?(Piety)
Scholars view
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him), said

Our advice to this young man who is heading in the right direction (of BIRR), in-sha-Allah, are
1.     He should always ask Allah to keep him steadfast and on the right path (PRAYERFULL).

2.     He should read the Qur'an a great deal and ponder its meanings, because this Qur'an has a great impact on the heart, if one reads it carefully and ponders it.

3.     He should strive to do acts of worship regularly, without getting bored or feeling lazy, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sought refuge with Allah from incapability and laziness.

4.     He should strive to keep company with good people and avoid keeping company with bad people.🖊🖊🖊

5.     He should advise himself when his nafs is influencing him and should say to himself: The distance is far and the path is long, let him advise himself to be steadfast, because Paradise is surrounded with difficult things and Hell is surrounded with whims and desires.

6.     He should keep away from bad friends, even if they were his friends before, because bad friends will influence him. Hence the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: The likeness of a bad companion is that of the one who works the bellows: either he will burn your clothes or you will notice a bad smell from him. Liqaaat al-Baab al-Maftooh, 1/153 [3]

REMEMBER :The people of Taqwa /Albirr - piety and righteousness are the people of high rank in the Hereafter as well as in this life.
For Allah says which translates as: That home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who do not rebel against the truth with pride and oppression in the land nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqeen: [i.e. pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kind of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allah much (performs all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)] (Al-Qasas: 83).
My Allah count us among them. Ameen Thuma Ameen
Let's consider this
Did he who slept with a full stomach whilst the people around him were hungry truly fulfill the meaning of piety when he could have given them food and satisfied them? Did he fulfill the meaning of piety when he saw a believer in a miserable state and could have helped him, but chose not to do so? May Allah save us.
 AMEEN THUMMA AMEEN
In conclusion, I urge myself and you all to search amongst your relatives and neighbors for the poor and needy amongst them. Search also for the strangers amongst your brothers, be good to them and make them happy - ask them to share your provisions. Remember the hunger and thirst of your poor fellow Muslims, remember the tears of the miserable ones and the situation of those who have no dwellings, remember too the loneliness of those who are away from their families.
As Allah said
It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allaah) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allaah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masaakeen (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and to set slaves free, performs As-Salaah (Iqaamat-as-Salaah), and gives the Zakat, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are patient in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Such are the people of the truth and they are AlMuttaqoon (the pious)

For righteousness means having fear for Allah and doing what is right and eschewing what is wrong because of Allah alone and having piety among ourselves.

May Allah forgive me mine short comings. Ameen Thuma Ameen

Wa salaamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakaatuh.

HISTORY OF QURAN

Praise is to Allaah.
Firstly: Allaah has guaranteed to preserve this Quraan Himself. Allaah says
Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quraan) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)[al-Hijr 15:9]
It is We Who have sent down the Quraan in which there is mention of all issues and clear evidence, and in which We remind those who want to be reminded.

The Quraan was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in stages over a period of twenty-three years. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
And (it is) a Quraan which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages
[al-Isra 17:106]
Secondly:
Literacy was not widespread among the Arabs. Allaah described them in such terms when He said :
He it is Who sent among the unlettered ones a Messenger (Muhammad) from among themselves[al-Jumuah 63:2]
They used to memorize the Quraan by heart, and a few of them used to write down some verses or soorahs on animal skins, thin white stones and the like.
Thirdly:
At first the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade the writing of anything other than the Quraan, and he forbade them to write down his words for a while, so that the Sahaabah would focus on memorizing the Quraan and writing it down, and so that the words of the Prophet  would not be confused with the words of Allaah, and so the Quraan was protected from anything being added or taken away.
In addition:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) appointed a group of his companions who were trustworthy and knowledgeable to write down the revelation. They are known in their biographies as those who wrote down the Revelation, such as the four Caliphs, Abd-Allaah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas, Muaawiyah ibn Abi Sufyaan, Zayd ibn Thaabit and others.

It must be noted that:
The Quraan was revealed in seven dialects as was narrated in the saheeh hadeeth of Umar ibn al-Khattaab .
Moreover
The Quraan continued to be preserved in the hearts of the Sahaabah who had memorized it, and on the skins and other materials until the time of the caliph Abu Bakr al-Siddeeq. During the Riddah wars many of the Sahaabah who had memorized the Quraan were killed, and Abu Bakr  was afraid that the Quraan would be lost.
So he consulted the senior Sahaabah about compiling the Quraan in a single book so that it would remain preserved and would not be lost. He entrusted this mission to the chief of memorizers Zayd ibn Thaabit .
Zayd ibn Thaabit  who did not find it easy to accept the offer initially but finally agreed to do it after Abu Bakr replied, "By Allaah, it is a good thing." Abu Bakr kept on urging me to accept his idea until Allaah opened my heart to that to which He had opened the hearts of Abu Bakr and 'Umar.
Then zaid said :So I started looking for the Quraan and collecting it from (what it was written on) palm stalks, thin white stones and also from the men who knew it by heart, until I found the last Verse of Soorat al-Tawbah with Abu Khuzaymah al-Ansaari, and I did not find it with anybody other than him. The verse is:"Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty... [al-Tawbah 9:128]
Then the complete manuscript (copy) of the Quraan remained with Abu Bakr until he died, then with 'Umar until the end of his life, and then with Hafsah, the daughter of 'Umar
Again we should note that , Zayd ibn Thaabit knew the Quraan by heart but he was methodical in his confirmation; he would not agree to write down any verse until two of the Sahaabah testified that they had heard it from the Messenger of Allaah.
This Mus-haf (written copy of the Quraan) remained in the hands of the caliphs until the time of the Rightly-Guided Caliph Uthmaan ibn Affaan. The Sahaabah  had dispersed to different lands, and they used to recite the Quraan according to what they had heard of the seven recitations from the Messenger of Allaah, and each of their students used to recite according to what he had heard from his shaykh.
If a student heard someone reciting in a manner different from what he knew, he would denounce him and accuse him of making a mistake, and this went on until the Sahaabah feared that there would be fitnah (trouble) between the Taabieen and successive generations.
So they thought that they should unite the people in following one recitation, which was in the dialect of Quraysh in which the Quraan had first been revealed, so as to dispel any disputes and resolve the matter. Uthman was consulted, and he agreed with this opinion. You can find this narration in saheeh bukhari (4988).
After the writing, 'Uthmaan sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'aanic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt.
Thus an end was put to dispute and the Muslims were united. The Quraan has remained and will remain narrated from generation to generation and preserved in men's hearts until the Day of Resurrection. This is how Allaah has preserved His Book, in confirmation of the verse in which He says:
surely, We will guard it (from corruption)[al-Hijr 15:
Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quraan) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)[al-Hijr 15:
Mashaa Allah, thank you very much for your time
Inshaa this is where I stop
If there is another chance I will talk about importance of Quran
