ADJECTIVES AND THEIR NOUNS.

 

👷🏼masculine

1 جَمِيلٌ - beautiful

2 قَبِيحٌ-  ugly

3 قَصِيرٌ - short

4 طَوِيلٌ - tall

5 ثَقِيلٌ - heavy

6 خَفِيفٌ - light(not heavy)

7 قَرِيبٌ - near

8 بَعِيدٌ -far

9 جَدِيدٌ - new

10 قَدِيمٌ - old

11 لَذِيذٌ - sweet

 

Feminine 🤦🏼‍♀

1 جَمِيلَةٌ - beautiful

2 قَبِيحَةٌ-  ugly

3  قَصِيرَةٌ - short

4 طَوِيلَةٌ    - tall

5 ثَقِيلَةٌ  - heavy

6 خَفِيفَةٌ - light(not heavy)

7 قَرِيبَةٌ - near

8 بَعِيدَةٌ -far

9 جَدِيدَةٌ - new

10 قَدِيمَةٌ - old

11 لَذِيذَةٌ - sweet

 

Note(s);

In Arabic, adjectives agree with their nouns in both gender and number.

 

Examples;

 

بيتجميل - a beautiful house

اِمْرَأَةٌجميلة - a beautiful woman

 

Exercise; 📒

Using the nouns from the previous lessons, and the list of adjectives given above, frame four (4) sentences (two for each gender) as stated in the examples.

 Write them in your exercise books. You can try some here 😊.

Wright down three examples from the Qur'an, with the surah and verse number.
