KNOWLEGDE
Salaam alaikum my brothers and sisters in
eeman
Yaa Allah, we submit ourselves to you this
with all the praises and worship we can offer.
Yaa Allah, we ask for your mercies and
blessings upon your noble servant and messenger Muhammad SAW.
Yaa Allah, we are your servants and cannot do
anything good without your will so we ask for your mercies and blessings
Our topic is KNOWLEDGE
[Knowledge is something that we willingly or
unwillingly and voluntary or involuntary will acquire in one way or the other
Knowledge is said to be;
- facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
- Awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation.
In our houses, we voluntary or involuntary
learn from what is done and what happens to ourselves and people around us.
Also each one of us on this page have voluntarily
learnt from either or all of the below institutions.
primary
JHS
SHS
Colleges
and universities
And at the end, we receive a piece of paper
signifying that we are learned.
But the learning still continues on the work
field and home till we die...
For every knowledge you acquire, if you do
not intend and use it to please Allah, you will only get sins.......
For instance, leaning how to steal.
Someone will learn how to steal and
afterwards, go around and be stealing. Such a person is not using it at the
right way.
Security officers learn the tactics of
stealing and use it to protect people thereby gaining the mercy of Allah
THE
BEST OF KNOWLEDGE
All of us on this platform knowingly or
unknowingly should be informed that the best of knowledge is.;
To
be able to believe in the existence and oneness of Allah
No matter what one is having in mind, however
handsome or beautiful you are, rich or poor etc. If you are not having the Knowledge
that Allah exist and is only one and here is no one who suite to be worshipped
except Allah, then you are not having anything good.
Is base on this knowledge that all other things
comes into consideration.
Who is *Allah*?
Hadith

Ibn `Abbas:
When
the Prophet (ﷺ) sent Mu`adh to Yemen, he said to him, "You
are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing
to which you will invite them, be the Tauhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell
them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and
one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of
their properties and it is to be taken from the rich among them and given to
the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the
best property of the people."

Summary of other Hadith in Bukhari book of
tawheed...
Allah is one
- The most gracious
- To him belong the best names(99).
- All provider, owner of power and most strong.
- The one who is free from all defects and the provider of security.
- The all knower including the on seen.
- The king of mankind.
- The all mighty, the all wise.
- It is he who has created the heavens and the earth with truth.
Etc
Prophet Adam alayhi Salaam was created and
the first thing he learnt is the knowledge about Allah.
Prophet Ibrahim as young as below 10yrs knew
Allah and did not understood why people worship objects.
And all the prophets brought nothing but this
knowledge.
Allah said in the Quran ;
Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 18:
Allah bears witness that there is no god but
He, and (so do) the angels and those possessed of knowledge, maintaining His
creation with justice; there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise.
From the above words of Allah, it is stated that
is the knowledgeable people who can bear this testimony.
A question then arise.... How can one bear
witness about Allah and be among the knowledgeable people....
We should
1. learn who Allah really is.
2. Find out why he created us.
3. learn about his etiquette.
4. Act upon his etiquette.
This tells us that, one who has memorize the
entire Quran and it meaning and does not act upon it is still not a
knowledgeable person.
Hadith

Muawiya:
I
heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "If Allah wants to do good to a
person, He makes him comprehend the religion. I am just a distributor, but the
grant is from Allah. (And remember) that this nation (true Muslims) will keep
on following Allah's teachings strictly and they will not be harmed by any one
going on a different path till Allah's order (Day of Judgment) is
established."

So brothers and sisters let us to the best of
our ability, act upon the Quran and sunna of the prophet pbuh.
And as you are learning, always ask Allah to
grant you knowledge.
Hadith
Narrated
Ibn `Abbas:
Once
the Prophet (ﷺ) embraced me and said, "O Allah! Bestow on
him the knowledge of the Book (Qur'an).
Sahih al-Bukhari 75
In-book
: Book 3, Hadith 17
Because of the importance of knowledge, Allah
commands us to pray for knowledge.
Surah
Taha, Verse 114:
Supremely
exalted is therefore Allah, the King, the Truth, and do not make haste with the
Quran before its revelation is made complete to you and say: O my Lord!
increase me in knowledge.
SEEKING OF KNOWLEDGE IS COMPULSORY
1.there is this popular sayings of the
prophet pbuh which he said: ‘SEEKING OF KNOWLEDGE IS COMPULSORY UPON EVERY
MUSLIM MAN AND WOMAN’
2. Surah An-Nahl, Verse 43:
And
we did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation-- so ask the
followers of the Reminder if you do not know.
So is an obligation to whoever that is
ignorant in Islam to seek knowledge from knowledgeable people.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE
- Those who learn have to share to others.
Moving from one person to the other whether
believer or not..Moving from house to house, town to town and so on.
- Acting upon what you learn also direct others to the right path.
The prophet pbuh use to say whenever he
deliver a speech “let those who are
present inform those who are not present”
- Also;
There
is a popular Hadith where the prophet pbuh said:
A
good person is the one who learn the Quran and teaches others.
Surah
Al-Baqara, Verse 284:
Whatever
is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah's; and whether you
manifest what is in your minds or hide it, Allah will call you to account
according to it; then He will forgive whom He pleases and chastise whom He
pleases, and Allah has power over all things.
My interest is on the part; “and whether you manifest what is in your
minds or hide it.”
So it is compulsory upon us to share, which
what we are doing on this page is
part....
Note; you don't have to be a scholar before you
start to do da'wa.
IMPORTANCE OF SEEKING KNOWLEDGE
- If you ever hope to achieve piety or taqwa, then you should seek knowledge.
Surah
Fatir, Verse 28:
And of men and beasts and cattle are various
species of it likewise; those of His servants only who are possessed of
knowledge fear Allah; surely Allah is Mighty, Forgiving.
Whoever that pursue a path to seek knowledge
there in, Allah will thereby make easy for him a path to paradise
So let everyone of us never stop learning
There is much to say but let end here and
continue later....
We ask Allah to answer our prayers
