Indeed there is non
that deserves to be worshiped except Allah and our noble Prophet Mohammed is
his slave and servant. Our topic for this evening is HOW TO EASILY PRESENT
DA'WA AND HANDLE CLASSES ON WATSUPP.
To begin with Daawa
on social media is a formidable tool to reaching masses because many people if
not everyone spend considerable amount of time on this social media.
Nonetheless, if not properly done messages meant for dawa becomes a distraction
or nuisance.
I believe many of
us here have had to just scroll down a chunk of Islamic messages or post on
most of our whatsapp pages without reading any of them. This probably because :
1. The message is
ambiguous
2. The message is
too long
3. It's too raw
4. It's a
repetition
5. People mostly
don't like reading.
Taking into
consideration the five reasons above ,we as daees (people who do Daawa) should
try our possible best to makes the Daawa suitable for the people to follow.
How do we make
Daawa on whatsapp effective.
Firstly ,
as a daee you need to make sure you know your audience. You should know the
religious positions of the individuals as well as their knowledge of Islam.
This is very important for you to know how to present an information without
getting them offended or without them taking the message as being ambiguous.
Again to prevent ambiguity give information that can be traced. Tell them where
you picked your Hadith or Ayah. *Note*:
The purpose of
(Da'wa) communication is for the other person to understand and appreciate what
you say. Hence don't be using big grammar.
Secondly, most people
do not like reading. Some people that loose track of the essence of the message
if it turns to be a long message. Make sure the message is as short and precise
as possible. It's very important to be straight about what you want to say
without beating around the bush.
Try to be dynamic,
current and innovative in presenting the message. You should take note that
people have heard the same verses or ayahs before so present it in away to make
them feel it's new. You need to prepare your message on the notepad 📝
on your phone before the presentation. In that way you only copy and paste
during the presentation.
Finally , I have
seen a whatsapp messages that only quoted Ayats from the Quran without any
explanation or motivational message included.
I am not in anyway
saying the verse alive isn't a better reminder, what am trying to make you
understand is that people see it too raw and as such do not pay attention to
it. Make sure you explain the verse well in such a way the people will take a
second look at it. Get them inspired by using beautiful speech or comment and
hiqma in delivering the messages. Allah says in the Quran; An-Nahl 16:125
ٱدْعُإِلَىٰسَبِيلِرَبِّكَبِٱلْحِكْمَةِوَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِٱلْحَسَنَةِۖوَجَٰدِلْهُمبِٱلَّتِىهِىَأَحْسَنُۚإِنَّرَبَّكَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِمَنضَلَّعَنسَبِيلِهِۦۖوَهُوَأَعْلَمُبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
Invite to the way
of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way
that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most
knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is
[rightly] guided. I will end my topic here Insha-Allah. Till we meet another
time.
Assalaamualaikum
