SAYYIDINAA MUHAMMAD S. A. W

Alhamdulilah for this page, these presenters, these umma, and this night.

Our topic  👇🏼

PREPARE BEFORE YOU MEET THE ANGEL OF DEATH*

And we will make it very brief insha Allah.

May Allah grant us the rewards.aaamen

My brothers and sisters, death is inevitable to every creation,

And the moment of death is uncertain so as for the one who is well prepared will pass through with ease and the one who is not, will suffer.

Oooo you who are hoping to achieve something good tomorrow!_

Oooo you who is working and hope to be promoted tomorrow!_

Oooo you who aim to get married when you became rich_

Oooo you who is married and hope to give birth to one, two, three or more children!_

👇🏼

🏻🏻🏻🏻🏻🏻

Oooo you who are busily planning to Fornicate tomorrow!_

Oooo you who are hoping to deceive others tomorrow!_

Oooo you who are joking with your prayers, your fasting, good deeds!_

Oooo you who are busily planning to steal, to gossip and to perform a bad deed tomorrow!_

*what is the guarantee that you will leave to see the next second?*

Brothers and sisters, no matter what you are doing,.........

*when the angel of death comes to you, that marks the end of every deed you are performing.*

Yes.... Is true.......

Whether good or bad, that will be the end....

🏻🏻🏻🏻🏻🏻

*So how will you want to meet the angel of death?*

A question for you to answer and ponder upon your answer ?

THE REALITY OF DEATH

Never think that you were created to leave and die and that is all........

Just as we have been saying....

*Yolo..... You only leave once*

*The Holy Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) has said: You have not been created to rot/decay, but to remain forever. You only transfer from one home to another when you die.*

Allah says:👇🏼

Surah Yunus, Verse 56:

He gives life and causes death, and to Him you shall be brought back.

We are all striving to achieve worldly pressures and forget about the certainty of death.

Some of us don't even think about death or be reminded about death until we have heard that someone has died.

Allah says:👇🏼

Surah Qaf, Verse 19:

And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape.

Surah Al-Araf, Verse 34:

And for every nation there is a doom, so when their doom is come they shall not remain behind the least while, nor shall they go before.
We can all see that the aged die mostly than the youth, but ask yourself whether there is a probability of you being among the smaller percentage*

We say we believe in Allah, but we always thinks that we will leave till we get to 70 and above before we will meet the angel of death.

And because of that, we then commit sins hoping to do the right deeds at when we get to 50 yrs old

Allah says: 👇🏼

Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 7:

*Those who disbelieve think that they shall never be raised. Say: Aye! by my Lord! you shall most certainly be raised, then you shall most certainly be informed of what you did; and that is easy to Allah.*

Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 8:

Therefore believe in Allah and His Apostle and the Light which We have revealed; and Allah is Aware of what you do.

And if we doubt the fact that we can meet the angel of death at any particular moment from  now or if we think that is difficult for Allah to take a life and later resurrect us then  *Allah says* :👇🏼

Surah Ya Seen, Verse 78:

*And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten?*

Surah Ya Seen, Verse 79:

Say: He will give life to them Who brought them into existence at first, and He is cognizant of all creation.

Brothers and sisters, If someone will leave forever on earth, it would have been the prophet pbuh and the pious people.

If someone will leave on this earth forever, it would have be the best of man and best of creation.... The one whose birth caused the earth to be lighted.

My dear Muslims,
Prophet Sulaman AS had the most powerful Kingdom. He controlled the wind, clouds, Jins, all kinds of animals and yet still he died.

Shaik Ahmad deedat, Issah Osei etc led uncountable number of people to Islam and yet still their life's were taken away_

Ask yourself, are you exempted from death?

Or have you been told when you will die?

DEATH IS NOT A BARD THING.

I am not trying to say that we should consider death as a bard thing. But I am only trying to remind us of being certainty to die at every particular point in time.

As believers, the best thing that could ever happen to us is death. This is because, is through death that we can meet our creator and leave a comfortable life forever.

But if we think that we are not ready, then we have a very big issue at hand

Surah Al-Mulk, Verse 2:

*Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,*

According to this verse, firstly, both life and death are part of the creation of Almighty God.
Thus, death is a thing which Almighty God has created and hence cannot be a negative entity, because a negative entity is not capable of being created.
Secondly, tests and trials are considered to be the philosophy of the creation of life and death so that it can be known who is the most righteous.

ALL WILL REGRET

"And the great affliction of death befalls on you

Because the one who was obedient will regret for not doing more, and the one who disobey will also regret for disobeying Allah.

Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 99:

*Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back;*

Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 100:

Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised.

REMINDING OURSELVES ABOUT DEATH*

Let us all remind ourselves frequently about death so that we can prepare before it. And since we do not know when it will occur to us, then it is very necessary we prepare now.

The prophet pbuh said:Someone asked the prophet;who is the wisest person?

Answer; the one who mentions and contemplates death the most, and the one who prepares for his death the most. these are the wise ones;they gain the glory of this as well as the honor of the hereafter.* (AT-TABARAANI & AL-MUNTHIRI)

IMPORTANCE OF REMINDING OURSELVES ABOUT DEATH

  • It encourages one to prepare for death before it strikes.
  • It makes man lose hope in living longer, which is a hope that causes heedlessness.
  •  It make one be content with what little or what he has.
  • It makes worldly hardship seem insignificant.
  • It remove one from greediness/arrogance.
  • It softens the heart and makes one share tears.
  • It makes a person kind and forgiven towards other creators/human.

THINGS THAT REMIND ONE OF DEATH

-Visiting the grave;

s.a.w

visit  the graves because they remind you of the hereafter.(Ahmad)

-Visiting funerals.

-Reciting the Quran,

-Being in company with those who always remind themselves about death

Reasons for the Fear of Death:

 Not having a correct insight.

A new and an unfamiliar path.

Lack of preparation. the Holy Quran urges us to prepare for tomorrow:

Surah Al-Hashr, Verse 18:

*O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah, and let every soul consider what it has sent on for the morrow, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Aware of what you do.

Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 102:

*O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah with the care which is due to Him, and do not die unless you are Muslims

Once the angel of death appeared in the court of prophet Sulamana in the form of a man and gazed continuously at a person present there for some time.

That person asked the prophet pbuh : "who was that man?"

The prophet pbuh told him that he is the angel of death. The man remarked; *"the angel of death gazed at me in a way that he want to take my life"

The prophet asked him: "what will you do?

THE man requested to be taken to India. So the prophet pbuh commanded the clouds to pick him and drop him in India. And consequently, the cloud took him to India. The angel of death came back to prophet Sulaman pbuh the next day and he pbuh asked the angel; *"why did you gazed at that man like that?"*and the angel replied ; "I wondered why I have been commanded to take his life in India and he was with you here"

Hence, that person reached India his prescribe place to die.

After some time, prophet Sulaman A. S with the staff in his hands, was viewing his kingdom around him. Then he saw a young man approaching. He was surprised and asked: "who are you and who gave you permission to enter the palace?"

The man answered : "I came in with the permission of the Almighty Allah, I am the angel of death and Allah has commanded me to come and take your life."

The prophet pbuh then said ; "Then allow me to go home and prepare for death and rest on my bed? "

The angel said : No!

And while Sulaman stood leaning on his staff, his soul left him. He stood for some days and the people and jins couldn't realised that. It was when Allah caused an aunt to feed on the staff till it broke.

So my brother, even prophets are not allow to prepare at the moment of death. What of I and you?

[PREPARE BEFORE YOU MEET THE ANGEL

Once the Prophet Muhammad pbuh was sitting in the mosque with his companions. He suddenly told them that ; I will narrate a story to you today, which will reveal three riddles for you to solve."

All of them directed their attention to this story.

Once a man realised that his days on earth are numbered and he started to prepare before his death. He realised that he do not want to be alone  in his grave and started to look for someone to accompany him

He nocked at the door of his first friend and asked whether he could help.  His friend said:  *I am sorry but when death does us apart, we have nothing to do than to buy you a place and find you a kafan(shroud) .

The he went on to his second friend and asked for help and he also said that : "I have been with you all your life and can help you. But when you die, there is nothing I can do but to carry you to the grave yard and bury you.

He went on to his third friend and he also said : "Don't worry, I will accompany you to your grave, stay with you, help you to answer all your questions and lead you to paradise."

With this, the man was release from fear and died peacefully.

The prophet pbuh then asked whether any of them know who those three friends are. When all of them were silence, he then said:

the man is like every human being.

the first friend is money/wealth, things that help us only in life and not after we die .

The second family/friend were the children (sons and daughters), we strive for them all our life and all they give us is a shoulder to the grave.

And the third and most important friend is deeds (Aamal). Who accompany us all the way through.

HOW TO PREPARE

1. BE READY/PREPARE ALL DAY; we must be prepared all day, every day as the date of travel is not known. The prophet pbuh saud: *The knower of the hour is only Allah. In many hadiths

2. Know your destination.
 ONE WHO WANT HIS DESTINATION TO BE PARADISE;

For the destination of the pleasure of Almighty (Jannah/Heaven), the passport must confirm obedience to Almighty, his Prophets and the infallible (Aimma). It must also testify to oneness of God (Tawheed), Justice (Adala)and Day of Judgment (Qiyama).

qualifications are required amongst them truthfulness, patience, prayer (Salaa), poor rate (Zakaa), invite towards good values (Amr Bil Maroof), forbidding from Evil (Nahi Anal Munkar) and etc.

the destination of hell is disobedience.

3. OBTAIN A KAFAN(shroud).

The Holy Prophet (pbuh) has said: _One of the qualities that purify the heart is to acquire a Kafan._

4. Pay all your debt or make provisions for them.

5. *Leaving behind someone to look after your affairs*; Leaving behind someone to look after your affairs can be in the form of bringing up a righteous child and/or serving mankind by giving Zakaa of time, wealth, knowledge, which will adopt this role.

All the mistakes are mine, and all the good are for Allah. May Allah bless us all. Aamen

Until we meet again, A Salaamu alaikum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu
