WHAT TO DO DURING RAMADHAN

WHAT TO DO DURING RAMADHAN

Alhamdulillahirabbilaalameen

We thank Allah for this moment
Assalaamualaikumwarahmatullahwabarakaatuh

The topic for today's discussion is what to do during Ramadan
Title:None,Content:This blessed month is a great opportunity for goodness, barakah (blessing), worship and obedience towards Allaah.
It is a great month, a noble season, a month in which hasanaat (rewards for good deeds) are multiplied and in which committing sayiaat (bad deeds) is more serious than at other times. The gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are shut, and the sinners repentance to Allaah is accepted.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quraan, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Sawm (fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Sawm (fasts) must be made up] from other days. Allaah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allaah [i.e. to say Takbeer (Allaahu Akbar: Allaah is the Most Great)] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him.
[al-Baqarah 2:185]

For the sincere believer, every month is an occasion for worship and his whole life is spent in obeying Allaah, but in the month of Ramadaan he has even more motives to do good and his heart is even more focused on worship, and he turns even more to his Lord. By His grace, our generous Lord bestows His bounty upon the fasting believers and multiplies the reward for them on this blessed occasion, so He gives abundantly and rewards generously for righteous deeds

As one scholar asked his students: in case the Angel of death is to appear before you this evening... Telling you that you've left with 30 minutes to die, what will you do???

Within one minute, I would like brothers n sisters to respond to this question..

What will u do?

Let's look at some of the things

1- asking for forgiveness from Allah

We should never forget that Allaah stretches forth His hand during the day to accept the repentance of those who sinned at night, and He stretches forth His hand at night to accept the repentance of those who sinned during the day. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqoon (the pious).

We all know the sins that we've committed and the sins that we are committing..

Let's moist our tongues with Istighfaar

Allah Say's

Say: O Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allaah, verily, Allaah forgives all sins. Truly, He is OftForgiving, Most Merciful
[al-Zumar 39:53]
And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks Allaahs forgiveness, he will find Allaah OftForgiving, Most Merciful
[al-Nisa 4:110]

We should also be more submissive to our parents.
Because our parents especially our mothers are the gate way to jannah
When was the last time your mum made dua for you without you asking her??
We should also try our best to lower our gaze since there are many fitnah out there
There are many Sunnahs with regard to fasting, of which we will mention some:

1.It is Sunnah, if someone reviles the fasting person or tries to fight him, to respond to his mistreatment with kindness and to say: I am fasting.
2.It is Sunnah for the fasting person to eat sahoor, for sahoor is a blessing (barakah).
3.It is Sunnah for him to hasten to break the fast, and to delay sahoor.
4.It is Sunnah for him to break the fast with fresh dates; if he cannot find any, then he should break his fast with dried dates. If he cannot find any dates, then he should break his fast with water.
5.It is mustahabb for the fasting person to say, when he breaks his fast: Dhahaba al-zamawaabtalat al-urooqwathabata al-ajr in sha Allah (Thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is certain if Allah wills)..
6.It is mustahabb for the fasting person to offer a great deal of supplication (duaa), because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: There are three whose supplication will not be rejected: the just ruler, the fasting person until he breaks his fast, and the supplication of one who has been wronged.

Narrated by Ahmad (8043); classed as saheeh by the commentators on al-Musnad , taking into account all its isnaads and corroborating evidence.
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

It is mustahabb for the fasting person to offer supplication whilst fasting with regard to what concerns him of the hereafter and of this world, for himself, for those whom he loves, and for the Muslims.

End quote from al-Majmoo (6/375)
Before point seven... Let's be clear with something🌺
There are many of us who want to be forgiven yet we are still holding grudges with others
We are at logger heads with others
We are still listening..celindion, Bryan Adams, shattawalleetc
We are making love calls at night with non mahram's
Hnmm, may Allah forgive us

7.it is mustahabb to do the following:

- To sit in the mosque to read Quran and remember Allah (dhikr)

- To observe itikaaf in the last ten days

- To pray Taraweeh

- To give a great deal of charity and do a great deal of good deeds

- To study the Quran.

Al-Bukhaari (6) and Muslim (2308) narrated that IbnAbbaas said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the most generous of people, and he was at his most generous in Ramadaan when Jibreel used to meet him. He would meet with him every night in Ramadaan and revise the Quraa with him, and the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was more generous in doing good than the blowing wind.

For now is serious..
During itikaf..you this modern tertiary Muslims with iPads, laptops trousers beyond ankle, ladies with abaya skinny ready to kill
You see this modern tertiary..
Are we jokers or we are Muslims??
But some of them are scholars, huffazetc
Is this what u want to do in Ramadan?

8.And the fasting person should not waste his time in doing things that are of no benefit or no use and may adversely affect his fast such as sleeping a great deal, jokingly a great deal, watching seasonal movies eg. Kumkumbaghya, Veera.Laliga, Barclay's league and so on. He should not make eating different kinds of food and drink his main concern. All of that will prevent him from doing a great deal of good deeds whilst fasting.

NB: now kumkumbaghya time has been extrapolated
Subhaanallah, now Muslims are okay to wear messi or Rinaldo's Jersey to be identified but ask him when is he going to wear Jalbaab or leave his bear or let his trouser to be above his ankle, what will he say???
Just look at yourself right now you are reading... Are a victim?
Is not too late
Fortunately for us we are in Ramadan
If we stop compromising with the principles of Islam and with sincere taubah...
Allah will forgive us.AAAMEEN
We listen to mufti menk ,zakirNaik etc...but do we still see around.
I always say is not the matter of going to AzharJaami'ah, or NurulAmeen that makes u a better Muslim.
But is high time we work with the little that we know.
If not we will continue talking talking and listening listening without any benefitLet's purify our intention brethren in this Ramadan. To end with, bs I don't want to be too emotional with this state of the Ummah. Time passes quickly.Days pass so quickly, as if they were mere moments. We welcomed Ramadaan, then we bade it farewell, and only a short period of time passed and we are welcoming Ramadaan again. So we should hasten to do good deeds in this month and strive to fill it with that which Allaah is pleased with and with that which will help us on the Day when we meet Him.Wasallallaahummaalaanabiyyinaawahabiibanaa Muhammad Waalaaaalihiwasahbihiiwasallam.Wassalaamualaikumwarahmatullahwabarakaatuh
